Halloween is the Devil’s Day

The name Halloween is short for “hallowed eve.” This harkens back to when the Catholic church declared November 1 to be All Saints Day, in 835 A.D. Thus, the hallowed evening, the night before was contracted to the more simple form, Halloween. What images come to mind with Halloween? Death, darkness, gloom, doom. Zombies, the undead, witches, ghosts, spiders, skeletons. I issue a challenge. Name one redeeming aspect of Halloween. It’s a day all about evil. Halloween is the Devil’s Day.

Halloween is also the second most important day for classical Satanists, second only to one’s birthday. (The birthday comes first because Satanists are all about being self-centered.) It’s the high unholy day of witchcraft, dating back to the third century B. C. and the ancient Druids of Ireland and Celtic Gaul. It’s choice of date was rooted in agrarian cultures for whom this time of year was a season of cold and increasing darkness. It was believed to be the time when the veil between the living and the dead was most thin. It was a season when dead ancestors could come back to haunt the living, to trick them unless they were treated.

If Halloween is indeed the devil’s day, why did Satan need a particular day to focus on evil? The answer is simple. Satan abides by what I call the Law of Conservation of Evil Energy. You see, the devil isn’t omnipotent. God alone is all powerful, all the time. Not a single day since creation has the Almighty been bereft of his total power over creation. He has always had on every day unlimited power and authority. (Authority is the right to act and power is the ability to enforce an action. For example, a policeman may pull you over for speeding because he has the authority to do so. His badge and gun means he also has the power to make you stop.)

Omnipotent comes from the Latin omnis” meaning “all” and potens meaning “powerful.” Though the word omnipotent isn’t in the Bible, the word “Almighty” is. It appears in virtually every book of the Old Testament and a total of 345 times in the Bible. El Shaddai means “God most powerful” or “God Almighty.” Being omnipotent means God can do what He wants when HE wants to do it, except that he cannot do what is logically inconsistent with His nature. He can’t make the Earth flat or a round circle square. Most important, he can’t forgive sin without a sacrifice as it says in Hebrew 9:22: “And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. (Remission in a biblical sense means forgiveness.)

At some point in antiquity, Satan selected the autumnal season which we know as Halloween as the time to marshal his forces. We don’t really know what the demonic logic was, but we do see the consequences of this choice. Horror movies of fear and fright are everywhere. Symbols of witchcraft and divination abound. Death and terror are on everyone’s mind. The devil must conserve his evil energy. He can’t do this at the same intensity every day. People would tire of it. It wouldn’t be “special” anymore to dress your child as a witch and mimic haunting spirts of the netherworld. But one day each year, and in fact the space between September 1 and October 31, is the time when fearfulness and dread, vampires and ghosts are most prevalent.

I may sound like a curmudgeon, but I don’t even like churches trying to co-opt the day with a “fall festival” of fun and games. Why acknowledge the night at all? However, even Protestants can honor the saints of old. That isn’t exclusively a Catholic thing. How about spending the evening readiing the Epistles of Paul? There’s a saint we can all honor. As for the rest of you, keep your conical hats and witches’ brooms. I won’t want your bats and “boos,” your tall tales and haunted houses, apparitions, and spooky owls. We declare with Joshua (24:15), “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” On Halloween and every day.

Curses You’ve Spoken are Coming Back

The curses you’ve spoken in life may come back — back with a vengeance! You may think that this doesn’t apply to you, but consider all the angry, condemning words you’ve spoken. Some were uttered before you were a Christian and some after. If you became a Christian later in life, there may be hundreds of people you cursed. How many times did you tell someone to go to hell? How many GDs did you shout. How many FU’s came out of your mouth? If you’re a Christian now, you may not think those old expletives need dealt with. Certainly, if you repented, your sins are forgiven. But the power of curses you uttered may still be headed your way. I’ll explain the three steps in the implementation of a curse. First let’s consider some curses we all need to break.

  • #1 – The curse of sin is spoken of in Genesis chapter three. That curse is broken by confession, baptism, and holy living. Every person needs to break this curse.
  • #2 – Cursing one’s father or mother brought the death penalty in the Old Testament (Exodus 21:7). If you did that as a rebellious youth, it needs to be specifically renounced.
  • #3 – Idolatry is cursed (Deuteronomy 27:15). If you have, or have had, statues of Buddha, images of Hindu gods, idols of entertainment, undue adoration of religious personalities, all these things can be images of evil with curses that need broken.
  • #4 – Deuteronomy also calls incest and bestiality curses. God curses certain kinds of sexual behavior.

But what about thoughts and words? Both precede actions. James 1:15 speaks of lust being conceived in the mind. In fact, all curses start with a thought. That thought can be injected by the devil into your brain, or if may be the expression of evil notions you’ve allowed to germinate without spiritual discipline.

After the thought of a curse, the next step in the progression is words. You may be angry with someone and harbor ungodly notions in your mind, but the matter becomes ratified when you speak words of hate, bitterness, or wishing misfortune.

The final step of a curse is acting it out. You may do that by seeking revenge or by sabotaging the person who is the object of your vitriol. Sadly, some Christian who have not properly disciplined their speech utter curses with horrible intentions. As James 3:5 says of the human tongue, “How great a matter a little fire kindles.”

What about the curse coming back on you? The Bible doesn’t specifically address the boomerang effect of a curse, but Jesus warned in Matthew chapter seven about the consequences of judging others. He stated that the measure by which we judge we shall also be judged. The curse you’ve spoken against someone else is the same standard of retaliation by which you will be measured. Consider these warnings from the Book of Proverbs (NIV):

  • 15:1 – “A harsh word stirs up anger.”
  • 12:18 – “Reckless words pierce like sword.”
  • 29:11 – A fool gives full vent to his anger.”

The danger of a spoken curse is when the one hurling the invectives takes it a step further and acts on it. You can a curse by going to a psychic for a revenge curse, consulting a witchdoctor for a ceremony to bring suffering, or asking a voodoo/Santeria priest/priestess for a voodoo doll. The thoughts, words, and actions of curses you’ve invoked in your past may come back to haunt you someday.

Ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your mind any curses you uttered or acted upon before you were saved. If God impresses on you a particular person you cursed, go to them, apologize, and ask forgiveness. Take back what you spoke, place it under the blood of Jesus, and declare that it’s power over you is broken. In that way, you won’t need to fear that the curses of your words and action against others may come back to torment you.

Lies About Sex that Open Doors to Demons

WARNING: SEXUALLY EXPLICIT MATERIAL NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN

You might think that as an exorcist I mostly deal with behavior associated with the New Age, addictions, demonic attacks, and spiritual rebellion. These kinds of topics represent the majority of my ministry sessions. But I also spend time working with couples, praying to save their marriages in crisis. That’s why Laura and I wrote the book “Set Your Family Free – Breaking Satan’s Assignments Against your Household.” Many times, we minister as a married couple to pray with other couples in crisis. By God’s grace we’ve been able to rescue them from the brink of divorce. Here are important things that we have learned.

As you might expect, demons play a major role in destroying marriages. Especially the spirit of Jezebel! Please get my book on the Jezebel demon and understand how this evil spirit interferes in marriages. Most marriages in peril have neglectful behavior, generational curses, or one of the partners experiences demonic possession. Usually, the effect of evil spirits is aided by systemic behavioral problems in the relationship. Counseling experience has taught me that a significant number of marriages fail because proper systems of respect and communication aren’t in place. We teach couples how to reconnect by offering practical advice to correct faulty relationship systems. Such difficulties are usually the result of dysfunctional families of origin with one or both partners. Many of you need to meet with me and Laura for help with you and your current or future spouse. Consider scheduling a marriage encounter today.

What I’m about to say may come as a surprise to some. But it is based on data I have acquired over decades of ministry. I’ve discovered that more than half of Christian marriages facing difficulties are struggling with sexual issues! These matters in question often are the result of one or more of these three false assumptions:

1) The wife is responsible for keeping the sexual behavior godly and relationally functional.

2) The wife must never refuse her husband’s advances or his choice of sexual activities lest he then turns to pornography or is attracted to other women.

3) A wife’s sexual pleasure is not as important as that of her husband since men are more visual and physical about sex.

Let me state clearly that all three of these assumptions are damaging to a marriage. Ephesians 5:25 says that husbands are to love their wives “as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.” The ESV says “gave Himself up for her.” The Living Bible says, “as Christ showed the church when He died for her.” To be blunt, the husband ought to be willing to die for his wife, in or out of the bedroom. In reference to my three points above, let me restate them as truths which may correct marriage problems.

  1. The husband is responsible for keeping sex pure and relationally connected. He should spend adequate time apart from sex seeking to bond with his wife and serve her needs. He should romance her, make her feel important instead of making sex a performance for his personal pleasure. Remember the adage, “Sex begins in the kitchen.” This means that simple tasks like doing the dishes and taking out the trash are part of the love language of a woman.
  2. A wife has the right to say no to sex. Sometimes a woman may not wish to engage in conjugation for any number of reasons, so long as she is not “defrauding” the relationship (1 Cor. 7:5). Pregnancy, health issues, and emotional conditions may make sex uncomfortable for a time. This is no excuse for the husband to turn to pornography. Counseling may be needed, but erotic visual stimulation on the internet isn’t going to help. In fact, it can form a virtual soul-tie leading to demonization. We help many couples overcome the addition to porn.
  3. The sexual pleasure of a wife deserves equal attention. Satisfaction and emotional connection are just as important to a woman as it is for a man. As stated earlier, the husband’s responsibility is to give up himself for his wife. In fact, her pleasure should be more important than his. Proverbs 5:19 – READ IT – is about mutual satisfaction, not masculine supremacy.

This blog isn’t the final word on sex in marriage. It’s a far too complex an issue to be reduced to a short commentary. But I pray that what I’ve shared shatters these faulty presumptions. Failure to be sensitive to the truth about sex can lead to pornography, affairs, and emotional damage to the children who may sense the marital disconnect. The spirit of Jezebel must not become a third party to any marriage, seeking to destroy a union solemnized in the eyes of God and man.

How to Spot a False Prophet

Everyone on YouTube is an expert. Just asks them. They will tell you. No matter what your problem in life, they have an answer. I call this the arrogance of the uninformed. In times past, before the advent of social media, our spiritual and cultural touchstones were pastors, priests, educators, the educated, and the experienced. Today, any 20 or 30-something with a microphone, a ring light, and camera can exposit on anything with apparent confidence. They know something you don’t and for an algorithm they will tell you. If their self-proclaimed knowledge about anything and everything is just hubris, its laughable. But when the topic is spirituality, it can be deadly and deceiving. When what goes on the internet has no proctor and no filter, millions can be misguided instantly.

Scan what is trending any day and hear the voices of certitude. No qualifiers. No documentation. No certification. Remember the adage, “If it’s in print it must be true.” Today, “If it’s on the internet, it must be so.” It can be funny or frustrating if the topic is something like “how to eat burnt toast” or the “50 best ways to leave your lover.” But when the topic has eternal consequences and the pundit is cloaked in spiritual authority, that is downright dangerous. That is why we need to know how to spot a false prophet, a purveyor of spiritual error who seems perfectly trustworthy.

I’m not speaking about the biblical ways of determining a false prophet. That’s another topic, such as the prophets who said God told them that Trump would win. Most of them are still giving forth other prophecies. Words and result must match. Deuteronomy 18:22 puts it this way in the NIV:  If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. In this blog I’m speaking of false prophets in a broader sense — internet experts who make unsupportable claims. Here are some examples.

  1. The theological “expert” on spiritual gifts. He quotes Bible verse after Bible verse without any empirical evidence for his conclusions. I call this exegesis without evidence. Are spiritual gifts for today? Are 300 million Pentecostals and another 350 million charismatics all misguided? To say that some are imbalanced or that a faction is misled is one thing. But dismissing hundreds of millions of people who claim a valid, supernatural relationship with God is disingenuous. Many are Catholics, liturgical adherents, and former cessationists who now embrace what they once derided.
  2. Preachers who claim that Christians can’t have demons and exorcisms aren’t needed. I have documented more than 50,000 case studies of exorcisms spanning five decades. Yet not one naysayer who denies deliverance has ever sat by my side for a day and witnessed the agony of the victim’s spiritual torment and their joy from being set free. Almost all of these clients are verifiably saved people who manifested demons.  Deniers of deliverance need to engage in spiritual battle, roll up their sleeves, and help restrain a spirit of murder with supernatural strength. Until they are willing to do that, they speak as false prophets.
  3. The false prophets of the New Age. These are the worst. They prey on people who are often broken and vulnerable. They promise that this crystal or that chakra balance will solve everything. And when that doesn’t work, they advise that you call up your kundalini, astral travel to another dimension, or meditate until you are immersed in the universe. They never give full disclosure that many people who have done this have had mental breakdowns; they become psychotic; they leave family and friends for some guru, or, worse yet, became invaded by evil spirits.
  4. Itinerant preachers who have no accountability. I spend much time ministering to demonized people who got their demons from someone that they thought was a man or woman from God. Prophet so-and-so laid hands on them and prophesied great things. Before you give in to gullibility about such self-proclaimed prophets, consider this: Who is their mentor? What is their theological education? Have they written books or published texts of their teaching that can be reviewed? To whom are they accountable? Is there a credible Christian leader who can vouch for them? How long have they been in ministry? What other prophecies have they uttered that didn’t come to pass? When it comes to prophecies, there is no substitute for due diligence and a little research.

Remember if a prophet promises and doesn’t deliver, he isn’t speaking with the Lord’s imprimatur. If his facts aren’t correct, if his information isn’t well researched, and if his doctrine is metaphysical or spiritualist, run away from such a person. They are not speaking for God, and they may be prophesying for the devil.

Beware the Demons of Cluster Curses

Curses have the tendency to cluster. They clump, aggregate, coagulate, and collect, usually in one area of attack. When you see curses cluster, demonic possession usually results. In fact, having cluster curses is a major sign you are demonized.

How do you know to suspect you have a demon? The answer is easy. Consider these questions. Are there many bad things which have happened to you that are beyond the statistical probability of life in a fallen world? Do you have clustered curses? These are curses clustered around a particular aspect of your life such as your finances, your sexuality, your health, and your walk with God. If there are multifaceted attacks in one or more significant areas in your life, then you certainly have curses and likely have demons!

How can cluster curses be identified? Make a list of the evil events you know of in previous generations. Include all your extended family on both sides, even those in-laws acquired by marriage. If you detect a pattern, that may indicate clustered curses. For example, if you were molested, was one of your parents molested? Apply that question to siblings, grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Are there several instances of early, strange, or violent death in your extended family? Financial failure? Multiple divorces? Constantly conflicted relationships? Alcohol and/or drug abuse? Criminal conduct? Significant failure in one or more areas of life?

I caution, don’t jump to conclusions based on a small sample of one or two individuals. You are looking for consistency, similarities, and a demonic design that is repeated multi-generationally—clusters of specific kinds of evil. Once that pattern is identified, consider further investigation. Can you identify a collection of evil actions which have caused anti-Christian behavior and spiritual rebellion. The key is the clustering, the amassing of sins of witchcraft, the occult, and criminal or deviant behavior. The remaining matter to be clarified is if YOU are a target of these clustered curses and if YOU have exhibited any signs of demonic influence.

That question is something you need to ponder and consider whether you should seek deliverance prayers and an exorcism. But before going that direction, first determine if you are clustered with curses. You can have a demon without curse clusters, but such bundles of evil heighten the likelihood of demonic oppression. Once you identify your clustered curses get help immediately. Enroll in our School of Exorcism. Schedule a personal encounter with me or an associate minister. Don’t seek the help of just anyone who says they do deliverance. Give due diligence to the process. Find someone with experience, accountability, and proper guidance. De-cluttering your curses, and casting out your demons, isn’t for the novice or faint of heart. Above all, don’t allow more curses to cluster in your life.

5 Ways to Stop Demonic Attacks

Every day my phone rings and my emails fill-up with people who believe the devil is attacking them. They are desperate. They talk about things crawling inside their bodies, constricting their spine and neck. Putting pressure on their heads. Even scratching them. Poking or pricking their skin. Some describe spiritual rapes and spiritual spouse experiences. Torment, torment, torment.

A few such individuals have some mental health issues. But not many. Most are genuinely under attack by evil spirits. Their stories are so similar and their life histories so typical that they must be taken seriously. We arrange for help, an in-person or virtual appointment with me or an associate minister, or a referral to one of our ministry teams. We understand the signs are of demonic oppression and outright possession.

The first thing we tell them is that Satan can’t do this these extraordinary things unless he has the right. We’re determined to find out what that right is. If demons have attacked by crossing over a line from the supernatural world into the natural world, they can’t do that easily. There must be an open door and we’re determined to find it. Before we can help you, here are some basic things you can do to lessen demonic attacks.

  1. Fast and pray (Matthew 17:21). If you don’t know how to fast with proper attention to health and spiritual welfare, google it. There are excellent ministries that focus on this discipline and can get you started. Couple your fasting with significant time in God’s word. Memorize some basic scriptural promises. Start educating yourself about spiritual warfare. Get our books and start reading them. Check out other great teachers and revivalist on YouTube who are zealous about deliverance and build your faith.
  2. Immediately stop every addiction. I have people come to me for help who admit they are still smoking weed. One young man admitted he used marijuana on his way to meet with me. On another occasion, during a virtual Zoom encounter, a woman took one last inhale on her vape and blew the smoke in my face (virtually) as we connected on the internet. Do you think these people got the spiritual results they wanted?
  3. Do your best to find someone who can agree in prayer with you as a stopgap measure. That individual may not know much about deliverance. They may not know anything. But if they will be a prayer partner to stand with you in prayer as a preparation for ministry, that will help to push back against the devil.
  4. Let nothing stand in your way of getting help. Get a new computer or borrow one so that a virtual session with me can be most successful. Or use your cell phone. Drive or fly to our offices. An in-person ministry session has the potential for greater success. Don’t let anything get in your way. Just yesterday a young woman in her 20s drove 500 miles one way to meet with me. Our deliverance session was focused, to the point, and undistracted. Even though she had spent years in drug addiction, and a few months ago tried to kill herself with a fentanyl overdose, her demons had been weakened by her determination to see me. Within minutes her demons were gone because they were weakened by her resolve to get help. She walked into our offices depressed and fearful. Less than an hour later, she walked out smiling, rejoicing, and ready to get on with a new life in Christ. Whether it is me or one of our ministry associates who helps you, we know your time is valuable. Make the best of it by doing what you need to get the right kind of help.
  5. Clean up your life in every area. You don’t need an exorcist or deliverance minister to start your journey to freedom. Do your own work first. Forgive those who have wronged you. Throw out any New Age or occult books and paraphernalia. Cut off all unhealthy spiritual and sexual soul-ties. When we meet, let’s get on with the mission to get you free in Jesus. Don’t make me have to tell you to stop sleeping with your boyfriend or smoking dope with your friends. Before we start the deliverance process, stop the yoga yourself. Clean up your Facebook and Instagram account of questionable things. Turn off Game of Thrones and get into the Bible. Get ready for your miracle of freedom.

There are many other ways to prepare for deliverance but start with these five and you’ll be on your way to get free, stay free, and live free. I hope to see you face-to-face on my computer or in my office, SOON!

Is College Debt Forgiveness Biblical?

I’m a bit late to this party, but I’m going to address it anyway: President Biden’s decision to cancel student college debt, up to $10,000 for some and $20,000 for others. It’s now the law of the land as of August 24. Not because Congress voted on it, but because Biden by Executive Order said so. The reason I’m weighing in on this is because IT IS a profoundly spiritual matter. And to anticipate what some are thinking, it is also a matter of spiritual warfare.

As I’ve watched the reaction of Christians to this decision, I have found their responses troubling. Few understand that when we speak of “forgiveness” we are in theological territory. Forgiveness isn’t a political concept, it is a spiritual transaction, even when the matter is financial. To forgive is to absolve, to treat the matter as if what’s forgiven never happened in the first place. It is a purging, as in the pardoning of our sins at the cross. To be a Christian is to be forgiven. But forgiveness costs someone something. At Calvary, it cost Christ His life and immeasurable suffering.

College debt forgiveness costs U. S. Taxpayers. A forgiven debt must be paid by someone when transactionally another is forgiven. The college students affected are off the hook. You and I, as taxpayers pick up this expense. It may not have been our children who incurred this debt, which has been calculated to cost somewhere between $400 billion and $1 trillion! No matter. Mr. and Mrs. taxpayer, you’re stuck. In our family a college educational debt was incurred. Through hard work, the child with that debt paid it off early. Had she waited, she would now have the debt forgiven. So, what was the worth her labor to pay off the debt? Nothing. That is not forgiveness, it is largesse, philanthropy without the consent of the donor.

Christians are divided on this matter, and both quote the Bible. Their general proof-texts are:

FOR DEBT FORGIVENESS: Exodus 22:25 — “If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not treat it like a business deal; charge no interest.”

AGAINST DEBT FORGIVENESS: Ecclesiastes 5:5 — “It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it.”

As far as the Bible is concerned it is poor exegesis to take a concept specifically intended to apply to a theocratic Old Testament society (Exodus 22:25) and enforce it on a democratic republic. Our American culture has been based on the concept of responsibility. If you incur a debt, pay it or you will suffer the consequences. The edict of debt forgiveness in the Hebrew Bible was intended for a specific group at a specific period in history. Those in favor of student loan forgiveness who see it as the Christian thing to do need to keep the whole of the law. if you approve the Biden decision, enjoy your next kosher meal. The ancient Jewish system of justice in social matters in a tribal, near Eastern, nomadic culture can’t be applied to the United State of America,

Ecclesiastes 5:5 (It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it.) is a more applicable scripture if one looks for a Bible proof-text. Biden’s plan is a financially regressive redistribution of wealth. It takes from those who choose not to get a college education and forces them to pay off debts of others who incurred such debit in a lawful manner with full disclosure. The recipients of such will be a privileged group of people who, because of their college education, will eventually have higher earning potential. The universities, some with billion-dollar endowment funds, will be the ones most benefiting. Those who didn’t make it to college will be forcibly taxed to pay for the indiscretions of others. It is like using federal tax dollars to subsidize Planned Parenthood and free abortions for veterans, another recent government edict.

Why is this a matter of spiritual warfare? Governmental intrusion by edict robs from those who choose to pay their debts and forces them to pay for others who incurred debt—and won’t pay. That is the way of Mammon, not Christian conscience. Worse yet, it is the creeping control of civil powers over private volitional decisions. That is a giant leap forward for the Antichrist. It brings people deeper into government control without their consent. (Remember, student loans were consensually acquired.) It increases the financial bondage of all for the benefit of a few who now claim they have no responsibility for their vow.

In the spiritual world, Satan is constantly looking for ways to increase the bondage of humans, emotionally, morally, and financially. Forgiveness of debt is a Christian virtue when it is non-forcible and the result of mercy. The enforced transfer of wealth by civil decree is neither merciful nor biblical.

Bring Your Bong to Yoga

Congress is making a big push, led by Senator Charles Schumer, to legalize marijuana nationally. Meanwhile, the toll of death and addiction in states which have legalized pot, is ignored. According to a report just released, car crashes in states which have legalized pot are up 6%. Colorado, a leader in this trend, saw an 18% increase.

The lead researcher for a newly published car-crash study, Charles Farmer, says, “The legalization of marijuana comes with a cost. It removes the stigma of marijuana use, leading to more intoxicated and less-attentive drivers with slower reaction times and a tendency to veer outside their lanes.”

Also in weed-legal states, emergency room visits due to psychosis among teens high on pot is skyrocketing. Yet 58% of the public is in favor of legalization. That number includes a lot of youth who want to get high and entrepreneurs who want to make fortunes selling weed – now a $30 billion business and projected to be almost $50 billion in 3 years.

In Canada, which decriminalized marijuana in 2018, a study shows that pot users were 22% more likely to end up in a hospital emergency room due to serious injury or breathing problems. And if you think the medicinal benefits are great, researchers at Oregon Health and Science University—in a state where pot use is legal—report that there is “very little scientifically valid proof that cannabis-related products relieve chronic pain.” Sadly, health care experts are dealing with children as young as nine who are struggling with weed addiction.

But here is the craziest result of the public’s infatuation with pot. Some yoga classes are adding new meaning to the idea of “higher” consciousness by combining yoga postures with pot smoking. I call this a “bring your bong to yoga” craze. Sone yoga groups call this practice “bend and blaze.” They advertise a “higher yoga experience,” and mean that literally. Other groups say that stoners doing downward dog are having expanded socialization while high. Some groups call their classes 420 yoga, 420 being slang for weed.

As any truthful yoga instructor knows, yoga and marijuana go back thousands of years in Hinduism. Weed, known in India as ganja, is believed to be a way of speaking with the Hindu gods, particularly the demon-deity Shiva. Those who watch our YouTube exorcism channel have seen me cast out many Shiva demons from weed users. Will the Christian proponents of so-called “holy yoga” now add marijuana for “holy high yoga?” If you bring your bong to yoga, you’re in danger of double trouble, demons from yoga postures and demons from marijuana intoxication.

Saints are the Ones Who Have Demons

I know the title for this blog sounds ridiculous to most Christians. Counter-intuitive. Unbiblical. Contradictory. Even blasphemous or heretical. But I stand by it. After five decades of casting out demons in more than 100 countries, I make no apologies for saying that saints have more demons than sinners. Before you consign me as a false prophet, listen to the logic. Consider these five simple facts.

FACT #1 – Demons exist and seek a bodily dwelling, a “house.” No one can argue against that from Scripture (Matthew 12:44).

FACT #2 – Demonic possession exists today as evidenced by the violence, inhumanity, and moral collapse of almost every culture on earth. This is especially true in nations that once were considered Christian in faith and practice.

FACT #3 – The extreme evil of our world testifies that demons are more active than ever. Sadly, America which has had the most precipitous fall from grace of any nation in history founded on basic, Christian principles.

FACT #4 – If demons are seeking a human in which to dwell, who are they going to pick first? Logic suggests they would seek to destroy those with the greatest potential to withstand them.

FACT #5 – If sinners are going to hell and they are on the devil’s team, wouldn’t demons attack their enemies–Christians, and not their own cohorts in evil?

Think the of cross-cultural implications of Christians having demons. Believers in Africa have no problem with this concept. Neither do Christians in India, Asia, and most non-western cultures. Catholics don’t argue against it. Pentecostals in the Third World consider it a fact. It’s only westernized, mostly Caucasian, biblically xenophobic Christians, usually North Americans, who have a problem with the concept of demonized Christians. In other words, it’s often a racist, elitist construct of theology. Practical experience teaches otherwise. You’ll never find a true deliverance minister who denies Christians can have demons. The biggest critics of this concept don’t do deliverance. They never cast out demons from anyone at any time so how would they know who has demons?

Satan only has so many demons. They are a finite number. So, if you are going to assign a demon to destroy someone’s life, would you pick a saint or a sinner? Sinners are already doing the devil’s work with lust, perversion, violence, hatred, drugs, and human exploitation. Why waste time on them? The Christian is the real problem for Lucifer. If the demonized Christian gets free, he is the devil’s worst nightmare. So believers must be attacked and invaded whenever possible, to be certain they never live up to the promises of God.

If you are expecting a biblical treatise, I’ve already done that in my books and our International School of Exorcism. Our School spends several lesson-hours demolishing the idea that Christians can’t have demons, with plenty of scriptural back-up. In the School I focus on New Testament examples in the life of Christ, such as the exorcism of the righteous daughter of Abraham (Luke 16:13) and the godly man who manifested demons in the synagogue when Jesus taught (Mark 1:23). But this reality of Christians having demons is found in the Apostolic age as well.

Simon the sorcerer of Samaria is a good illustration. When Philip the evangelist preached, Simon repented of his sins and followed Philip. Acts 8:13 puts it this way: “Then Simon himself also believed; and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and was amazed, seeing the miracles and signs which were done.” For whatever reason, Simon never got rid of his demons, and these evil spirits eventually pushed him to offer Peter and John money for the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts chapter 8). Peter rebuked him quickly. Notice the precise words of Peter to Simon: “Your money perish with you because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money (v. 21). I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and BOUND BY INIQUITY (V. 23).” Can a Christian have a demon? Case closed. Now you understand why Satan goes after the saints more than the sinners.

Is the Mark of the Beast a Tattoo?

Tattoos are everywhere. On the NBA courts and even in the pulpit, though the later are usually obscured by clothing. Is body art more than a fad? Is it an opening to evil spirits? More important, are tattoos a potentially existential way that the Antichrist will control populations? I want you to think twice before you get that tat.

Is the Mark of the Beast a tattoo? When I suggest that tattoos might be connected to the Mark of Beast” from Revelation chapter 13, I can almost hear the groans of those of you who have tattoos and love them. (Actual statistics say that at least 20% regret their tattoo.) You’re probably thinking that I’ve gone off the deep end with spiritual judgment and legalism. But hear me out. This topic isn’t new to me. I’ve written about tattoos many times before. My book “Curse Breaking” details a biblical and spiritual analysis of this dilemma. I have thought this matter through thoroughly and cast out many demons that entered by tattoo portals. I won’t get into the Bible verses now. Read my book and make up your own mind.

To be clear, we need to be reasonable about body art that might cover unsightly birthmarks (so long as the tattoo isn’t something demonic such as a dragon). I have nothing against tattoos that are used as medical identifiers or to enhance surgery, such as breast reconstruction. I also leave open to the reader his or her own conclusions about tattoos that depict Scriptures or biblical themes. They certainly are not a spiritual hindrance on the same level as the “ink art” of a voluptuous woman or a serpent. However, any physical defacement potentially facilitates demons and is a risk to consider. The blood which is drawn in the gory process can be a figurative blood sacrifice if the customer is being inked by someone with lethal, demonic bloodline cures. You can’t go into a tattoo parlor and first do deliverance on the person doing the inking!

Consider how extreme inking is in our culture. Take the case of an Australian woman, a pretty young lady who underwent $250,000 worth of tattoos, body modifications, and ink in her eyeballs. She now calls herself “The Dragon Lady.”

This is what she used to look like…
and this is what she looks like now! .

Her innocent look has morphed into a totally demonic appearance with 600 tattoos. She even went blind for 3 weeks from injections in her eyeballs. Right now, she’s an adult porn model in demand. As she ages and her tats wrinkle, she’ll be professionally discarded, and likely suffer serious health issues. Still, she claims that all these tattoos released “negative energy” and calls her appearance “euphoric” and “peaceful.”

Tattooed Christians can surely agree that the Dragon Lady is taking ink a bit too far. But consider these facts when thinking of tattoos as a possible Mark of the Beast:

  • Several decades ago, tattoos were rare. Now people cover their entire arms, legs, necks, and even private parts. When I was recently in the ER due to COVID it was unnerving to have the male nurse attending me put the tattoo, of a coiled rattlesnake on his arm, right in my face. I had to look at it just inches from my eyes as he was doing his job. I’m certain it never occurred to him that I might find that offensive.
  • Tattoos are the most universal, self-induced form of individual, immediate identification on the planet. In America, 30% of people have tattoos. Among Millennials that is 50% and growing. When asked why people tat, the most common answer is to be sexy or rebellious.
  • Take this challenge. Try to name an NBA or NFL star who isn’t heavily tattooed. There are very few exceptions. These are the most visible and “admired” cultural icons. What they do, youth will follow. And they are international stars setting world trends. Tattoos may someday be displayed on almost everyone.
  • When it comes to the Beast’s Mark on the right-hand or forehead, most prophecy teachers have inferred it must be an electronic means of identification, like an embedded chip. Maybe not. People now commonly tattoo their hands, necks, and faces. Many recent serial killers and mass shooters have sported face tattoos such as the Highland Park shooter. Facial ink is the #1 trend in tattoos, including the forehead. Hmmm. That is interesting.

Perhaps the Antichrist won’t need some sophisticated, implanted chip to control the population. Given a few more years of normalization, a tattoo marking allegiance and qualification for commerce might be thought of as normal. The Beast may have some dazzling computerized way of tracking those loyal to him and the Mark would only be visible with proper detection. But think about the pre-technological age of Cain who had a mark everyone could see readily (Genesis 4:15). It is certain that during the Great Tribulation you’ll only be able to survive by having a Mark to be able to buy or sell to survive (Revelation 13:17). If tattoos are part of the plan, you might want to reconsider getting any more “body art.” Do you really want your artistic ink to become the devil’s calling card?
