Reports from the Warfront 2

Photos below are taken from my iPad, downloading the satellite Internet feed from the
New Generation Churches National Day of Prayer in Ukraine. Each photo is a different
New Generation Church in a different city. These are samples of the 18 cities linked.

NOTE: By “War Front” I mean both literal and spiritual

Dateline: Novomoskovsk
After a hectic first 24 hours in Ukraine (3 cities; 5,000 people, many miles by car) things calm down a little. Return to Novomoskovsk for National Day of Prayer for Ukraine. New Generation Churches in 18 selected cities across Ukraine and into Russia and far-away Siberia are linked by Satellite. Each Church sends greetings and encouragement to pray. Each city has large screen showing what is happening in other cities one by one. Then various speakers address certain issues such as prayer, addiction treatment, and, of course, deliverance – that’s my message. Novomoskovsk New Generation church is pastored by Dmitry Makarenko, a powerful man of God. He travels to the currently dangerous city of Donetsk where gun-toting Russian agitators have taken over government buildings and refuse to leave. Dmitry asks me to take charge of his congregation to represent them on this day of prayer.

With an estimated 20,000 total watching, I encourage Christians to put on the “full armor of God” and teach from Ephesians, chapter 6. Then I minister deliverance to Julia, who says she is filled with anger and rages at her oldest child. Demon of Murder screams in defiance but leaves in the name of Jesus! We then bring her nine-year-old daughter on stage to break curses and bless her. She plants a kiss on my check. What a day!

An encouraging word:  GOD AROUND THE WORLD

I love ministry internationally. It is refreshing to see what God is doing outside of American culture. I especially enjoy Eastern Europe and Russia. People there are transparent in their worship and do so with passion that’s not contrived, as it sometimes is in America. Every Christian needs to get “out of the box” and see what God is doing around the world. “I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen,” Jesus said in John 10:16. At that moment, he was speaking of the Gentiles who would also be saved. But this passage goes beyond that strict context to mean that the Body of Christ is beyond the narrow provincial construct that most Christians have of their faith. Look around and you’ll see God at work in amazing ways everywhere, even if it doesn’t look like your “mother’s” religion

NOTE: By “War Front” I mean both literal and spiritual

Dateline Kiev & Kharkov: Landed in Kiev after 5 flights and 36 hours travel. Layover met pastors who spent time on the Maidan where the barricades and revolution took place, overthrowing the corrupt leader Yunakovych. Stories of families torn apart-some supporting Russian takeover of Crimea and some on the side of Ukraine. Young Ukrainians signing up en masse for possible war with Russia. News media not telling that Ukrainians are already digging trenches at the border with Russia to stop tanks. Flight to Kharkov and meeting with nearly 2,000 people. Powerful exorcism of Lena. Ancestors sacrificed to Satan. Met young man I performed wedding for one year ago. He now heads a drug rehab center. After drive 3 hours to Pershotravensk. To bed exhausted at 2:30 a.m.

Dateline Pereshotravensk: Easter Sunday morning service. Over 2,000 present. Church presents 2-hour musical unlike any you’d see in America. Incredible talent and Broadway musical quality. Amazing! I minister Easter message of hope. Mayor of city on front row. After 4-hour service, drive 1+ hours to Novomoskovsk. Going 108 mph down pothole-filled Ukrainian road. I protest. Interpreter says, “I think your roads in America are too smooth and boring.” No one but me wears seat belts. Angels be with us. Soldiers everywhere. Huge army trucks headed to Russian border. Every few miles stopped by gun-toting soldiers. They are barricaded behind huge sandbag “fortresses.” They say they are looking for Russian agents infiltrating the country to cause unrest. We drive on. It is spring and trees and bushes are in brilliant bloom. All seems tranquil in the countryside but fear lurks underneath.

Dateline Novomoskovsk: 500+ people waiting for another Easter service. Meet team of Edra, Mike, and Savannah there. Exorcism of Tamara with demon of Rejection. I and team minister personally to scores who manifest demons. Service 4 hours.

Dateline-Recap first 24 hours in Ukraine: 3 cities; nearly 5,000 people; little sleep; spiritual excitement is high; people speak of danger all around and willingness to fight for their freedom; must be careful what I say to avoid politics; Largest TV network in Russia wants to make a movie about me but have to tell them no for now; conditions between Ukraine and Russia too volatile. All this in 24 hours? Bed sure feels good. Tomorrow National Day of Prayer for Ukraine situation. I will speak to 20,000 people via satellite uplink to 18 cities. God is so blessing our ministry. Wish all our friends and partners could be here to witness what their prayers and support are producing. I love the Ukrainian people. They are so hungry to be free spiritually and politically.

ALL THIS IN 24 HOURS! – MUCH MORE TO COME.

An encouraging word:  DON’T SKIP THE WEEPING

When David wrote, “Weeping may endure for a night,” (Psalm 30:5) he put forth an important truth. Too often we focus on the promise that follows in that verse, “But joy comes in the morning.” We all want the exuberance that comes after suffering. But let’s not skip over the weeping. In fact, sometimes it is sorrow that leads us to our greatest joys. God knows this and in His wisdom does not always shield us from tragedy and heartache. As a current pop song says, “You only miss the sun when it starts to snow . . . only know you’ve been high when you’re feeling low.” By all means let’s look forward to the joys of life. But don’t jump too quickly over the weeping which may have life-lessons worth noting.

Killing for Odin

Wednesday, April 16th 2014

You may have seen them in the movies “Thor” and “Thor: The Dark World.” But there is nothing comic or cinematic about them. Odin is the major god of Germanic/Norse mythology. Thor is his hammer-wielding son. Loki, the jester/joker, is the third most prominent god of the religion (archetype of Lucifer) known as Odinism, a white-supremacist faith that propelled Hitler and his Third Reich toward the holocaust. What brings this ancient, rape-and-pillage religion of pagan violence front and center is the series of murders this last weekend in Kansas City. The killer, Frazier Glenn Cross, who hated Jews, was also a devout follower of Odinism and Asatru. (For more detailed information on both of these cult-religions, get my book LARSON’S BOOK OF WORLD RELIGIONSCLICK HERE TO BUY – which has detailed analyses of both groups; see “Odinism” pages 316-320.) I’ve dealt extensively with all three demons – Odin, Thor, and Loki – and can assert they are some of the most powerful evil spirits in Satan’s realm.

In his autobiography, Cross writes, “Odinism! This was the religion for a strong heroic people, the Germanic people, from whose loins we all descended . . . Odin! Odin! Odin! Was the battle cry of our ancestors; their light eyes ablaze with the glare of the predator, as they swept over and conquered the decadent multi-racial Roman Empire.” Cross, who murdered three Jews in an orgy of anti-Semitic violence, certainly committed a hate crime. But it was also an occult crime. “Praise Odin, pass the ammunition, Sieg Heil, and Heil Hitler!” Cross also wrote. Perhaps fans of Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Torn Hiddleston (Loki) might want to rethink their obsession with this Marvel movie series. These aren’t just Hollywood fantasies. The gods of Odinism are real demons and three people are dead because one man, Frazier Glenn Cross, took them for who they really are.

An encouraging word:  INTERNET IDOLATRY

First Corinthians 10:20 says that sacrifices of the ungodly to idols is “offered to demons, not God” (NIV).  Paul goes on to warn, “I do not want you to be participants with demons.” In the western world where there isn’t much overt idolatry this passage may be passed over. But anything which becomes an obsession in our lives, taking time away from worship of Christ, is an idol, be it excessive entertainment, substance addiction, even the Internet. You may not think of trolling endlessly through countless web sites ad infinitum as being idolatry, but watch out. Don’t make Facebook or Twitter your idol. You may be offering to a demon when you think it’s a meme.

Angry Football Alter?

Tuesday, April 15th 2014

Ra’Shede Hageman, an angry man in action on the football field.

If you are a quarterback, this is one guy you don’t want to see coming after you. Ra’Shede Hageman, at 6-6 and 310 pounds, has created havoc for offensive linemen in college and looks to wreak what he claims are “three hours of hell” on NFL football fields this fall. Scheduled to be taken high in the NFL draft on May 8, Hageman, a defensive tackle, is likely a first-round pick. Of his intentions in professional football, he says his aim is to be “nasty or ruthless, having that anger and having that swag that, yeah I can do whatever I want — thats the alter ego. You don’t give a ****. You’re crazy and you don’t care.”  He also says, “When you have built-up anger, frustration in your past, there’s so many ways to use that. Luckily, I found a way to use that that was positive.”

Positive? No way. I do respect that Hageman overcame an ugly past. He was born to a man he never knew and mother who was a drug addict. He was shuffled through a dozen foster homes. Conceived illegitimately, he was adopted by an upscale white couple who weren’t married. And, no surprise to those who understand generational curses, he also has an illegitimate three-year-old child.  His “Blind Side” upbringing apparently didn’t dispel his inner rage. I’m not dissing his attempts to overcome a very bad past, and perhaps he’s doing all he knows how to do to avoid becoming as irresponsible as his biological parents; however, the reality, from my perspective of spiritual warfare, is that this young man has a long struggle ahead of him. Curses of abandonment, illegitimacy, and addiction will dog his every step on and off the field. And creating a dissociative alter-ego state to express the rage leaves room for demons to embed in his tortured soul. I pray that he finds someone in or out of football who shares Christ with him so that he can finally get free from the curses that are piled on his huge shoulders. I pray for him, but also recognize that, outside of receiving deliverance, he has a tough road ahead. So does anyone who thinks there is a “constructive” way to vent rage without expelling its demonic source.

An encouraging word:  DON’T BE SINFULLY ANGRY

Paul warns in Ephesians 4:26 to not sin by being angry and “do not give the devil a foothold.” Anger at injustice has led to great social movements such as the abolition of slavery. Anger at abuse results in laws against sexual predators. But to be angry for anger’s sake, as a means of control or lack of self-control, is sinful. What kinds of anger do you have? Beware the anger that is personally vengeful and seeks to right no wrong, but rather to inflict on others what was done to you. Watch out if you anger is sinful and satanic.

Christian Cursing?

Monday, April 14th 2014

Call me Old School, but I just don’t get it. Why is it necessary to use the F-bomb in place of the word “very?” – as in “that is very cruel of you” (that is f****** cruel of you). I know Bono did it on the Grammys (and he’s supposed to be a Christian) and lots of people do it behind closed doors; but have old-fashioned good manners become obsolete? I’m not for replacing four-letter sex verbs with inventions such as “fuddle duddle.” I’m calling for a moratorium on all crude comments – even from Christians. I’m offended by believers who “helluvah” and “damn” their way through conversations to flaunt their self-defined liberties of grace. Perhaps some words that used to refer to defecation and fornication no longer have the sting of the profane, at least in the minds of millennial youth. But have we forgotten that Hell is literally a place of eternal torment that is to be avidly avoided? To “damn” is to consign to everlasting punishment in perdition, so who has the right to ever damn anyone or anything but God? In an era when homosexuals want to be called “gay” and pro-abortionist insist they are “pro-choice,” who is to decide what words have a right to be used in polite conversation? Okay, it’s not an exact science and mores change from age to age. But I don’t want to hear anyone use the N-word, even if they are hip-hop artists with creed. What woman should ever be referred to by the B-word just because some rappers thinks it is no longer is pejoratively used. “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth!” Paul warned in Ephesians 4:29 (KJV). Even some Christians I’ve encountered need to rethink their speech to be sure that they “put away all evil speaking” (Ephesians 4:30), lest those who damn souls to hell will themselves not be allowed to enter into heaven.

An encouraging word:  GOD WILL REWARD

May He remember all your sacrifices. We don’t know exactly to whom David was writing Psalm 20:3, perhaps the “director of music” as some texts say. The word “sacrifices” means “oblations,” any appropriate offering given to God. The text is poetic, because we understand that, in fact, the Lord does remember all the things we’ve done for Him. Ephesians 6:8 reminds us that God will reward each of us for the things done in His name. When you’re discouraged, think back on what you’ve done for Jesus, and know that God will remember each and every sacrifice to bless and reward you accordingly.

Satan Held Hostage!

Friday, April 11th 2014

Ukraine government building where Russian sponsored activists illegally took 60
people hostage this week in an attempt to precipitate an invasion of Ukraine!

We will meet you with hell! So said the heavily armed “terrorists” who took over a government building in Ukraine, warning what would happen if the Ukrainian government tried to force them out. The Terrorists seized 60 unarmed, innocent citizens in an attempt to force a Russian invasion of the nation of Ukraine.  Since the Obama administration did almost nothing to stop Vladimir Putin’s seizure of Crimea, tensions have escalated in Ukraine — just as I am preparing to fly there in less than a week. These same Russia-sponsored insurrectionists, I just mentioned, have also taken over a regional government center in Donetsk, a city that I was in a year ago. I share these observations for two reasons. First, you need to be aware of the truth behind what’s happening in this country so critical to the future of Europe and Christianity in that part of that world. Second, things in Ukraine are still risky. The U.S. Government has not lifted its ban on “non-essential” travel to Ukraine. Local organizers assure us they will look after our safety. Still, with nearly 100,000 Russian troops amassed near the cities where I’ll be ministering, our mission is not without risk. Our purpose is spiritual, to take Satan hostage, and force him to release those whom he has bound! To do that we’ll minister in five major cities and spend at least three full days training 1,000+ pastors to wage warfare against the devil and his demons. Thank you for your prayers and support as we forge ahead in the name of Jesus.

An encouraging word:  GOD WANTS YOUR SUCCESS

God wants you to succeed. He is not the Lord of failure and defeat. Psalm 20:4 in the NIV puts it this way: May He give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans proceed. That’s encouraging. Keep in mind this passage assumes that your plans are according to His purposes. God can’t bless your selfishness and rebellion. But when you align with His Word and His will, success will come your way. God really wants you to have your heart’s desire, provided that this longing has been submitted to the Lord and determined by wise counsel.

Into Uncertainty

Thursday, April 10th 2014

Left, a fight between Communists and Ukrainian nationalists breaks out this week
in Ukraine Parliament. Meanwhile, on the right, masked & unidentified
Russian soldiers infiltrate Ukraine to stir up unrest as they did in Crimea.

In 1941 during the Battle of Kiev, Ukraine, Soviet Communist troops were surrounded by the German army and surrendered 665,000 soldiers who were captured.  That Battle, part of the Southwestern Front, suffered over 600,000 killed. In 1943, the Soviet army battled the Third Reich and lost 700,000 soldiers in the battle for Kharkov, eastern Ukraine. Such numbers are unthinkable to Americans.  Perhaps you now understand why Vladimir Putin wants Ukraine back as part of Russia. After such defeats during WWII, he feels humiliated again by the loss of the Soviet Empire when freedom came to Eastern Europe in the early 1990s. Putin wants to right what he thinks were the wrongs of the past.

Let me put this in perspective for today. Kiev and Kharkov are the two largest cities in Ukraine, and they are the first two cities in which I will minister during our upcoming MISSION UKRAINE. Tuesday night, just this week, Kharkov was the scene of bloody shootings that left 2 dead and five injured. You’ve likely followed the demonstrations and killings in Kiev that recently left scores dead. Even though the corrupt Ukrainian leader, Yunakovych has been thrown out (and welcomed in Moscow), an estimated 80,000 combat-ready Russian troops are amassed on the Ukraine/Russian border waiting to invade Ukraine. They have sent paid provocateurs into Ukraine to stir up trouble, giving Russia the pretext for a full scale invasion, which Ukraine could not withstand unless America intervened. Ukraine, which has the largest Christian population in all of Eastern and Western Europe would come back under Russian control with Christian liberties severely limited.

Unless full-scale war breaks out, from April 17 – 28, I’ll minister in Kiev, Kharkov and three other Ukrainian cities. I’ll also spend at least four days in all-day training with 1,000+ pastors at the New Generation Bible College. Please pray for my safety and the protection of the others who travel with me. We are going into the very heart of where a major war could break out any time. We are going into uncertainty, from a human standpoint, but with spiritual certainty knowing that many thousands from Europe to Siberia will be forever changed and challenged to set the captives free.

An encouraging word:  GOD OF ABRAHAM

We sometimes speak of the “God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob” (Matthew 22:32). We do so reverently with awe. But who were these guys, after all? There were mighty spiritual men, but . . . Abraham lied to Pharaoh about his wife. Isaac was a polygamist. Jacob was a deceiver. In reality, they were of less than sterling quality. Yet they are revered as the founders of the nation of Israel, and by bloodline the Church of Jesus Christ. If sometimes you are not feeling up to all it means to being a Christian, take comfort. Those who have paved our way weren’t exactly perfect. I’m not condoning lax living or lukewarm Christianity; but I am encouraging those who struggle to remember. You aren’t the first of faith to waver.

Topless and Brainless?

Wednesday, April 9th 2014

Half-naked woman demolishing MacDonald’s restaurant.

By now you may have heard. A topless woman in St. Petersburg, Florida, wearing only a string, barged into a McDonalds fast food restaurant and proceeded to trash the place. The scene above is taken from a security camera capturing her one-woman melee. (I chose the most discreet photo possible; that’s her behind the glass door throwing refrigerated food on the floor.) The rampage lasted a little over two minutes, but the topless and brainless woman managed to create some serious havoc. With her bare hands she tore apart the kitchen, throwing everything in sight and then toppled what she could. Employees stood by amused and later posted the uncensored footage. Before she’s done, she puts her hands under the ice cream dispenser and sucks in her fill of the frosty. She then grabs a handful of fries and heads out the door.

Insane? Psychotic? High? Pranking? Who knows; but it’s the reaction of those who watched and those who posted their reactions that is most telling. On a web site featuring the full video of mayhem, a McDonalds’ employee writes, “This woman is my new role model.” Another observes, “She engages on her terms and doesn’t play by the rules.” Yet another web site viewer ads, “I could see this easily being me.” Huh? An act of vandalism and destruction of private property is somehow turned into a social commentary and a display of heroic individuality? Like those U. Conn. idiots who rioted Monday night after their team won the NCAA basketball title game.  These “students” started fires, knocked over lamp posts, smashed windows of businesses, and flipped cars. All this because their team WON. The topless trasher and the rioting students have something in common. Over-indulgence, narcissism on steroids, a sense of entitlement, and an IQ forged with an obsession for Mortal Kombat and Assassin’s Creed (extremely violent video games for the uninitiated). Their brains have been fried on Facebook and their morals warped on hip-hop. Their attention span is the length of Snapchat and their respect for God and country somewhere between “Hangover” and a Che Guevara T-shirt. Only a massive spiritual awaking will alter where all this is taking America. And it needs to start with a return to demonstrating God’s power instead of seeker-friendly sermons. Anyone say, “Amen?”

An encouraging word:  ANSWERS IN DISTRESS

May the Lord answer you when you are in distress. This plea of David (Psalm 20:1 NIV) offers comfort for every eventuality. Sooner or later you will be in distress. No matter how smooth things may be at the moment, the vicissitudes of life are certain. Sickness, job loss, broken relationship, death, unwelcome episodes on life’s journey are common to everyone. What separates us is whether we are confident that the Lord will be there during that trial to hear our prayers and answer, or whether we will throw up our hands in despair. Distress is as certain as the sun rising.  So is the hope of a hearing and caring God, for those who are Christians.

10% Happiness?

Friday, April 4th 2014

Dan Harris, ABC-TV host of Nightline and World News

Two years ago, ABC-TV journalist Dan Harris flew from New York City to Phoenix to interview me and the Teenage Exorcists for feature reports on ABC-TV’s Nightline and Good Morning America. He spent a day watching us cast out demons and minister to hurting people. As one of America’s premiere television hosts and reporters, Harris has covered everything from the mass shootings in Newtown, Connecticut to the Haiti earthquake. I suspect one of the reasons ABC sent Harris to do our story is because he has often focused on faith issues, including evangelical Christianity. Needless to say, he got an eyeful of the supernatural when he witnessed me and the Teenage Exorcists casting out demons.

Harris has just released a new book 10% Happier: How I Tamed the Voice in My Head, Reduced Stress Without Losing My Edge, and Found Self-Help That Really Works – a True Story. He tells how motivational gurus and various religious leaders encouraged him to meditate with positive results. Harris admits that the pressure of his job lead to self-medicating with recreational drugs, including cocaine. What pulled him out of that negative spiral was “secular mindfulness meditation.” Since one of the people he says influenced him is former NBA coach Phil Jackson, we can assume there was a heavy dose of Zen. He now advocates meditating at least five minutes a day to be at least 10% happier.

I have met many of the most popular and successful television hosts and journalist, from Diane Sawyer to Dr. Phil, Oprah to Anderson Cooper. Harris is one of the genuinely nicest, friendliest, and least pretentious. I’m sad he had such a battle with his “demons.” But if those “demons” were real DEMONS, then he’s seen firsthand the real solution to peace of mind from spiritual bondage – deliverance. If you want to know more about what’s wrong with secularized meditation, read the extensive analysis of that issue in my 575-page LARSON’S BOOK OF WORLD RELIGIONS. (To order CLICK HERE.) Most meditation, that isn’t Christ centered, is a temporary emotional bandage at best and the pathway to demonization at worst. My advice to Mr. Harris is this: Don’t settle for a 10% increase in happiness. Centering your mind on Jesus the whole day gives 100% peace!

An encouraging word:  PERFECT PEACE

The search for personal peace in our world of multi-tasking and multi-stress leads down many roads, most of them leading nowhere. Walk the aisle of your local pharmacy and glance at the scores of medications and sleep aids which are used to tamp down the restlessness of the human soul. And that’s just the legal over-the-counter solutions. Worse yet, alcohol and recreational drugs hold out false promises of escape from the pressures of life. But Isaiah has a simple solution: You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You (Isaiah 26:3 NKJV). If you are looking for perfect peace, medications and meditation isn’t the best answer in the long run. Centering your mind on the Lord is the only way to have the peace that “passes all understanding” (Philippians 4:7).

Cost of a Curse?

Tuesday, April 1st 2014

Ancient Assyrian stele containing an ancient curse.

What’s a curse cost? In this case well over a million dollars. The picture on the right above shows what fits on top of the figure on the left. As one sculpture, it depicts an Assyrian King from around 810 BC, Adad-Nirai III, ruler of Mesopotamia. He stands in a position of worship directed to Ishtar (precursor to Jezebel), Adad, the weather god, and the supreme deity Salmanu. The inscription proclaims that Salmanu is the Lord who protects Adad’s throne. Also included on the side is a curse carved in stone, invoking evil on anyone who removes this stele from the temple. Of course that has long since been done. The British Museum has the head fragment in its collection. The lower part is due to be auctioned in London at Bonhams, world renowned auctioneer of arts and antiques, for as much as 800,000 GBP.

The words of the curse declare, Whoever discards this image from the presence of Salmanu and puts it into another place, whether he throws it into waters or covers it with earth . . . may his name and his seed disappear in the land. These are harsh words whose impact, some may assume, were mere invocations of intimidation. Maybe, but what if the buyer at Bonhams gets more than he bargained for? I realize that something 3,000 years old has unique value, but not at the real price the purchaser of Salmanu’s curse might have to pay. I pray that if that person is foolish enough to risk the curse that he will eventually find an exorcist to anoint Adad-Narai III and cut off the evil intentions it bears. Such declarations of evil can be more than ancient superstitions. Like all curses, they are for perpetuity until someone ends the evil. (See my book CURSE BREAKING for more detail. To order  CLICK HERE.) May the true God, Jehovah, have mercy on the bidder at Bonhams if this curse hasn’t been broken.

An encouraging word:  DO NOT FEAR

When I first became a Christian, one of the first promises in God’s word that I memorized was this from Isaiah 41:10: Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (NIV)  That verse still brings comfort to me today. Let it comfort you in whatever difficult circumstance you find yourself. If you’re about to fall, remember that is the right hand of GOD’S righteousness that sustains you, His strength that is your help. It’s all about turning things over to Him and allowing the Lord to fight your battles. When you can do that, there’s no room for fear.
