Deity or Divination?

All humanity is rapidly moving toward adopting one of two basic beliefs regarding the human condition:1) Theism – the belief in a single god as creator and ruler of the universe. Of the world’s great religions, only Islam, Judaism, and Christianity hold this view. 2) Divination – foretelling future events or finding paranormal/occult knowledge outside the five, physical senses. Hinduism and Buddhism are classic examples of this. If one considers the New Age a “religion” it is also a religion of divination.

I am purposely leaving out atheism. Empiricists believe in nothing they can’t reduce to rationalism. Their numbers may be growing in the West, but in terms of a competing worldview they are still a relatively small portion of individuals. In simple terms the competing beliefs of theism and divination can be reduced to the following:

  • Theism worships a deity who having created all that exists, including human beings, is now transcendent, apart from His creation and is a personal moral judge of the soul’s destination after death.
  • Divination is the search for meaning in a predictable source of knowledge that is known only to those who follow its system, such as astrology, palmistry, Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny), Shamanism, geomancy (divination by the lines of geographical features), feng shui, tarot, runes, etc. Divination’s view of the afterlife is generally based on reincarnation, spiritualism, karma, or some form of the soul’s survival beyond death with no ultimate destination of a heaven or a hell.

The Bible is clear about the demonic inspiration of divination. Deuteronomy 18:10 pronounces judgment on all those who “interpret omens.” Isaiah 47:13 mocks astrology and all prognosticators as being unable to avoid judgment for sin. In fact, all divination is lumped into a single biblical category: witchcraft, a capital crime in ancient Israel.

To all those who willfully or ignorantly reject Christ by indulging in crystals, reiki, enneagrams, yoga, I Ching, dream catchers, mediumship, mindful meditation, fire walking, etc. ad nauseum, the choice is simple. Place your trust in a personal deity who is omnipresent and omnipotent, who has personally revealed himself through the incarnation of Christ; or embark on the endless search of the religious buffet of divination. Deity or divination, God or the devil. Which will it be?

Impeachment Demons

Adam Schiff is a Congressman from California, representing a district in Hollywood populated by film industry elites. It’s widely understood that his election to Congress was largely due to massive financial contributions of the most wealthy, liberal donors in America. As chairman of the House Intel Committee, for weeks, he has been leading the charge to destroy the presidency of Donald Trump. Since Trump was elected, Schiff has been a legislative hit-man with relentless passion to impeach Trump. For more than two years he embraced the Mueller Russian collusion hypothesis. When that fell flat, he claimed that an unknown whistleblower in the government had information about Trump’s call to the President of Ukraine, the contents of which, Schiff said, were impeachable.

Day after day, he ruled committee hearings with an iron fist, holding meetings in total secrecy without anyone knowing what was going on. When he did finally start public hearings, the public beheld his odd mannerism of periodically distending his dilated eyes, looking like something out of a grade-B horror movie. Schiff’s strange looks immediately caught my attention. Then, people started asking me, “What’s with those eyes? Is Schiff manifesting a demon?” Given Schiff’s political viewpoints on topics like abortion, some suggested to me that Schiff’s eyes were giving away his satanic agenda. Schiff’s defenders said his odd eyes were the result of a hyperthyroid response to anxiety. Really?

Since, as an exorcist of more than four decades, I’ve looked into more demon eyes than any living person, I can say this. Yes, that’s exactly what many people look like when they manifest demons; however, it would be professionally imprudent of me to pass conclusive judgment on Schiff without a face-to-face meeting, and that’s not going to happen. It wouldn’t be past the devil to publicly gloat at Schiff’s efforts to bring down Trump, who, no matter what you think of him personally has done more than any President since Ronald Reagan to stand for issues dear to Christians.

Perhaps those are just “Bette Davis Eyes” (Kim Carnes 2004 hit song); perhaps not. I can say this. If you ever look like Schiff, get to a doctor immediately to see if anything is medically wrong. If a physician has no logical explanation, then seek out an exorcist. Impeachment demons want to destroy a Presidency. Your demons want to destroy your soul.

The Power of Curses

Considering that I’ve written a 175-page book entitled “Curse Breaking” and our International School of Exorcism teaches at length on this topic, it’s challenging to give a simple understanding of curses; but for many unfamiliar with this concept, anything we share here is a big step forward. First, curses have power to affect anyone, including Christians. Second, the effect of curses can be eliminated by declarative, confessional prayer. Third, curses can be intentional and deliberate, such as the ritual of a witch-doctor to bring harm. They can also be unintentional, as in the case of an angry parent who blurts out to a child, “You’re a loser. You’ll never amount to anything in life.” The most important thing to know about curses is the truth of Proverbs 26:2: “An undeserved curse has no effect” (TLB). How can you make curses against you “undeserving?”

Curses come from many sources: idolatrous rituals of our pagan ancestors; acts of violence and immorality from forebears in our bloodline; words and action of those presently in authority over us. And no one is immune. Embracing faith in Christ is a strong mitigating factor. But being born-again is no guarantee that 100% of all curse consequences have been removed. The potential power to break curses is promised in Galatians 3:13 (Christ was made a “curse for us”). But that promise must be possessed by faith. It’s not automatic. Revelation 22:3 promises a time of “no more curse,” but that is future prophetic. In the now, for those who have not proactively claimed the promise that we are “redeemed” from curses (Galatians 3:13), the power of actionable, spoken, and ritualized evil can hinder a believer’s walk with God.

What’s to be done about this? Just as Romans 10:9-10 teaches salvation comes by confession and belief, so does deliverance from the power of curses. When we confess that a curse is broken and believe in our hearts by faith that it is done, a curse has no more power. Its effects may linger as we seek healing and restoration for the damage done but going forward it cannot invoke additional evil. So, if you haven’t broken curses, get started. Agree in prayer with a spouse, trusted friend, or family member, according to Matthew 18:19 which declares that prayer is effectual when two or more agree. Declare that curses are broken over whatever evil you are aware of with your ancestors. Close the doors to curses that you opened in your past, such as dabbling in the occult or New Age practices.

Online Witchcraft

In the days before the internet, to participate in witchcraft one had to secretly seek out a coven, possible go sky-clad (nude) in the dark of a forest, light candles at the points of a pentagram, take a sacred sword, an athame, in hand, and summon the elementals of the four directions. Today, witchcraft is only a mouse-click away with thousands of web sites dedicated to the dark arts. But witchcraft online isn’t always so obvious as the procurement of spells for love or money. It can come in the form of pseudo-scientific technology. Take the QU Wave devices.

I’m focusing on this line of products because a recent Skype Encounter client wore around her neck a black box about the size of a cigarette pack. She’d paid $300 because the distributors of this device had promised, in online ads, that she’d be “free from electronic harassment and pollution, conquer stress, restore proper immunity levels, overcome sleep problems and harness the power of the universe” by generating a “protective cocoon” around her body. The device also promised protection from the attack of psychic witchcraft harassment by infusing her food with chi energy. This woman was a Christian, a devout and sincere woman, but like many believers today, she didn’t understand how cleverly witchcraft is disseminated online. During our Skype session she was delivered from the demons she’d gotten from these occult indulgences.

To further understand such dangers, here’s a few definitions of terminology used in online witchcraft:

  • “Solfeggio” refers to resonances which are supposedly the frequencies from which the universe was formed; like the Eastern mystical chant OM. The occult connection is clear.
  • “Schumann Resonance” is extremely low frequencies in the earth’s electromagnetic field that are triggered by lightening discharges in the atmosphere. At worst one might be affected while walking outdoors in a lightning storm, but who’s dumb enough to do that?
  • “Chi” is the Chinese version of the universal life-energy force; Taoism’s version of god. In Hinduism and yoga this force is known as prana; mana in Polynesian lore; lung in Tibetan Buddhism; manitou to native Americans; vital energy in various New Age sects.

All these terms are ways to described demonic powers operating under the guise of some ethereal force flowing through the universe, often in the form of polarizing opposite, the yin/yang. Those who tap into these powers operate in witchcraft and Shamanism and risk demonic possession. My Skype client was exorcised of the demons associated with such beliefs. Others with no knowledge of spiritual warfare, won’t be so fortunate. Don’t you be a victim of online witchcraft.

Revolving Door Demons

The Gospel of Luke, chapter 11, contains one of the most misunderstood scriptures concerning demons. This confusion is exploited by those who refuse to accept, or deny and denigrate, the reality of exorcism in our age. Here is the passage in question: When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, “I will return to my house from which I came.” And when he comes, he finds it swept and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first (Luke 11:24-26 NKJV).
Let’s focus on the reference to the expelled spirit returning with seven more demons worse than him. I’ve heard deliverance ministers sternly warn those who’ve been liberated that they must be careful not to go back to the sins that allowed their possession to occur in the first place. Good advice. But that’s not what Christ is emphasizing. Luke 11 isn’t primarily about the exorcised demon returning with seven worse companions. The problem emphasized by these verses is what the individual DOESN’T do. Namely, he doesn’t fill the house which has been emptied.
When a demon is cast out, the person’s soul, their “house” is cleansed. The disorder is ordered. Chaos is replaced with peace. Those set free from demons often exclaim, “I feel light. A burden is lifted. I can think more clearly. The confusion is gone. I’m not tormented anymore.” Their house is clean. But they need to fill the newly vacated soul so there isn’t room for evil to return. Instead, they are often prodded by well-meaning ministers to stay away from what was wrong; okay, but they also need to be encouraged to pursue that which is right. Just having a clean house, being delivered, won’t keep the devil away.

The house of one delivered needs to be “filled.” With what? Filled with the Spirit (Eph. 5:18); the fruits of righteousness (Phil. 1:11); joy (1 Tim. 1:4); the fullness of God (Eph. 3:19); goodness and knowledge (Rom 15:14). Being delivered from demons is about more than what you stop doing. It’s also about what you should start doing: A daily walk in the Word. Faithfulness in church. The fellowship of the saints. Service in the body of Christ. Demons seek to return and inhabit a dwelling which was emptied but never fully occupied by the presence of Christ, the wisdom of His Word, and the fruits of the Spirit. Have you had demons cast out? Then, don’t repeat the sins that led to your bondage. But more importantly, adopt positive patterns of biblical behavior that will keep the doorway for demons you once opened from revolving into an even worse possession later. Harry Potter Christmas

This has gone way too far. Stores hadn’t even taken down all the demonic Halloween paraphernalia when I spotted the above display. I wasn’t surprised at the unseemly jump-start on the commercialization of Christmas. But connecting witchcraft to Christmas? That’s outrageous, blasphemous, and an apocalyptic commentary on our times. Christmas should be about Christ. Harry Potter is about witchcraft. The same Bible that heralds the birth of Christ also condemns witchcraft as an evil abomination (repugnant, disgraceful, abhorrent, outrageous, monstrous): “Let no one be found among you . . . who engages in witchcraft. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord” (Deuteronomy 18:9-13). How has such a spiritual contradiction overcome our culture?
It’s been a long time coming. The old frog-in-the-boiling-water thing. Turn up the heat gradually enough and the frog won’t know he’s burning to death. Movies, TV, entertainment, Hollywood, and pop culture long ago declared war on Christianity. But it took the wizard of Hogwarts to finally desensitize all but the most stalwart Christians. November 15, 2005 –14 YEARS AGO—a writer in the supposedly evangelical journal “Christianity Today” wrote, “In the last five years, I’ve noticed a gradual attitude shift toward Harry Potter among Christians. Though many still condemn the series they seem to be diminishing in number even as others write in praise of it.” REMEMBER, that was 14 years ago. It’s a thousand times worse now! (Click here to read my recent blog “Harry Potter Banned.”)
As a deliverance minister with 40+ years of documented spiritual warfare experience, I’ve performed more exorcisms than any living person. The majority of Christians I minister to have practiced yoga, explored Eastern religions, used tarot cards, played with Ouija boards, have seen psychics, and followed astrology. Many Christians have been co-opted by the lies of the New Age and spiritualism. Interest in occult-sourced enneagrams is exploding. Mindful meditation has crept into evangelical prayer circles. Some respected ministries are telling Christians that they SHOULD see into the spirit world and behold angels and demons with regularity. Forty years ago, when I began deliverance, less than 5% of those coming to me for help would have had this much spiritual garbage in their lives. Today, well-meaning but biblically illiterate victims by the millions are frequently caught in this web of deceit and bondage.

More than 90% of the people who objectively manifest demons in my presence are demonically bound because of the witchcraft practiced by their ancestors. Most suffering souls who seek deliverance from our ministry have had demons passed on to them at birth because their forebears were sorcerers like Harry. I say with complete certitude that anything and everything to do with Harry Potter, witchcraft, and the New Age was hatched in Hell and is antithetical to all that Christianity stands for. It’s 100% evil, worthy of the most severe biblical condemnation. There can be no accommodation with ANYTHING that reeks of witchcraft, literal or fantastical. Let’s keep Christ in Christmas and Harry Potter in hell, where he belongs.

An encouraging word: GOD’S WORD IS TRUE.
The testimony of the Lord is sure, says the King James Version (Psalm 19:7). The NIV puts it: The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy. Either way, the emphasis is on the certainty of what God says. Remember, Satan’s first deception in the Garden was to question God’s veracity with the doubtful question, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from the tree in the garden’?” That tactic has never changed: get mankind to disobey God’s law by planting doubt about the truthfulness of God’s Word. When you are tempted to sin or cut moral corners, don’t forget the first temptation of Eve, and be convinced that what God says He really means.

Are the Trumps Ahab and Jezebel?

Last week, while delivering a eulogy, at the funeral of congressman Elijah Cummings, Hillary Clinton made one of the stupidest statements on political record. Instead of respecting the solemnity of the occasion, she chose to attack President Trump and his wife Melania by declaring that that the two were like the biblical Ahab and Jezebel. Furthermore, she equated Cummings with his namesake, the biblical Elijah because of his unrelenting attacks on President Trump and Supreme Court judge Brett Kavanaugh. As a staunch defender of abortion, Cummings was certainly no Elijah.
Here’s what made Hillary’s analogy so ludicrous. Ahab was an exceedingly wicked king, the worst in Israel’s history to that point, according to 1 Kings 16:30. He was a wimp. A weakling. He deferred to Jezebel’s idolatry and murderous lust. Any intelligent person would never equate the relationship between the President and the First Lady as remotely resembling that. Jezebel connived to kill the innocent man Naboth (1 Kings 21:14). Is Hillary calling Melania a murderer? The analogy is ridiculous and shows Hillary Clinton’s ignorance of Scripture. Read my book “Jezebel: Defeating Your #1 Spiritual Enemy.” It’s the definitive, published work on this subject and makes Clinton’s similitude seem ignorant and childish.
But worse yet, it masks who is the REAL Jezebel—Hillary Clinton. It was she who defended her husband’s infidelity by having oral sex in the oval office with an intern young enough to be his daughter. It was Hillary who mocked the many women (Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrik, Leslie MIllwee, Kathleen Willey) who accused Bill Clinton of indecent behavior and enabled her husband’s sexual predation. In my book “Jezebel” I explain in detail the five main characteristics of the Jezebel spirit: control, manipulation, murder, lust and false spirituality. To accuse Melania Trump, a devout Catholic Christian of being a Jezebel, is not just dumb, it’s slanderous. Tragically, this accusation was made as a crass political ploy in a house of worship during a funeral. The very malignancy of such an accusation shows who’s got the real Jezebel spirit. Whatever the trumps are, they are not Ahab and Jezebel. It makes one wonder if the REAL Ahab and Jezebel are Bill and Hillary.

An encouraging word: SIMPLE WISDOM

Christ proclaimed that we should come to Him with the faith of child, for “such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matt 19:14). Psalm 19:7 declares that the Law of the Lord makes “wise the simple.” Our world places great emphasis on education and erudition. Nothing wrong with that, but spiritual wisdom is not always the province of much learning. Sometimes, simple wisdom is the best — and most profound. We must never forget that the Lord has chosen the foolish things of the word to confound the wise. Get as much education as possible, but never forget this wisdom of simplicity.

Jesus Junk

Jesus is being marketed as never before. Misogynist rap artists whose every other word is profane dangle from their necks huge, gold and diamond-studded crosses. Kim Kardashian regularly goes nude in photo shoots yet claims to be a Christian while her husband, Kanye West, has been holding weekly “church” concerts featuring gospel choirs. Cool, young mega pastors sport full-sleeve tattoos and barely a discernible square inch of flesh left untouched by ink. A group of so-called pastors recently publicized a gathering to bless an abortion clinic by singing, “Hallelujah, bless this room.” Many born-again pastors have become cavalier about Christians drinking alcohol. I personally heard a leading evangelical pastor (you’d likely know his name) brag to his congregation on Sunday morning about overcoming his tee-totaling hang-ups about booze. He joked about his drinking to a millennial audience which included many impressionable children. Can the Jesus junk all around us get any worse? Apparently so.
A new web site now markets “walk on water Jesus Shoes.” These blasphemous shoes were offered online and sold out in minutes at a price of $3,000 each. That price is now up to $4,000! The shoes are all-white Nike Air Max 97s. The shoes were purchased at retail price and after-market, privately re-designed. Part of the sole (or should that be “soul”) has been filled with “holy” water mixed with blue dye. The liquid is injected into the Nike brand’s Air-Style, air bubble. No word yet on how many people have nearly drowned while attempting to stroll across their favorite lake wearing Jesus Shoes.
With all the craziness of Jesus junk, maybe the idea of demonic possession isn’t so far out after all? Instead of attacking deliverance and exorcism as unnecessary, evangelical churches might better spend time cleansing the cultural temple of Christianity from all the Jesus Junk. Compared to Jesus Shoes, exorcism isn’t eccentric. It’s biblical, historical, practical, and effective at relieving spiritual torment. The craziness of contemporary, American Christianity probably won’t get better anytime soon. Why? The gutless timidity of Christian leaders to threaten their financial welfare by bucking what’s popular. As a child I remember hearing the old gospel song, “Take the whole world, just give me Jesus.” That’s what I want. Just Jesus. Jesus healing this sick. Jesus casting out demons. Jesus walking on water. Let’s get rid of the all the Jesus junk and show the world the power of Christ over the devil by casting out demons in His name. In the words of the apostle Paul 1 Corinthians 2:2, “For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”

An encouraging word: GOD’S LAW IS PERFECT

Skeptics abound who question the need of the Bible and Christian values. There is even a major debate about whether people need to believe in God to be moral. Psalm 19:7 says, “The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul.” Ethics and laws may establish boundaries on human behavior, but only the “Law of the Lord” is perfect. And it does more than restrict unwise actions. God’s Law alone converts the soul, making it possible for the mind of man to behave in a way that comes from true, heartfelt motives.

Evil Exorcism

I took the photos above in a major pharmacy store. It was displayed in the midst of other ghoulish, Halloween paraphernalia available for purchase. Though based on a true story, much of the film “The Exorcist” was fiction, an unrealistic portrayal of what really goes on in an exorcism. What I’m about to describe isn’t a movie, it really happened in Tucson, Arizona, not far from Phoenix, where I live. A man attempted to exorcise a demon from a six-year-old child, living on Pascua Yaqui Indian Reservation. He held the youngster under a faucet of hot, running water. The water poured in the throat of the child and caused serious burns over much of his body. By the time an ambulance was called and took the child to the hospital, he was dead. The man who performed this “exorcism” said he had to do it to save the child from the devil; but this wasn’t an exorcism to deliver the child from evil. It was an act of murder, instigated by the demons in the man who killed the youngster in the name of exorcism.
There are many reasons why the exorcism I just described was evil:
  • TRUE EXORCISM RESULTS FROM THE COMMAND ISSUED BY A CHRISTIAN EXERCISING THE AUTHORITY OF CHRIST. Many religions, such as Islam and Buddhism, have exorcism rituals. But the supposed expulsion of demons isn’t effective, or it appears to work, only to leave the victim in a worse condition later. The authority to trample Satan, given in Luke 10:19, is only available to true followers of Christ.
  • DEMONS ARE SUPERNATURAL BEINGS AND INFLICTING PAIN ON THE PHYSICAL BODY OF THE HOST HAS NO EFFECT ON THE DEMONS. Many pagan rituals of exorcism require self-flagellation or the inflicting of pain by the so-called exorcist. The only pain a demon feels is the torment from hearing the word of God or the revulsion toward scared objects, such as a cross, anointing oil, the Bible or holy water.
  • AN EXORCISM IS AN ACT OF CONSENT WHEREBY THE POSSESSED INDIVIDUAL REQUESTS THE EXORCISM. No legitimate exorcism can ever be performed on an unwilling person. The host of the demon must exert his or her will against the evil invader. An exorcism is a mutual process whereby the exorcist and the possessed individual completely agree on resisting evil in the name of Jesus.
  • TRUE DELIVERANCE COMBINES THE FAITH OF THE EXORCIST AND THE ONE BEING LIBERATED ACCORDING TO SPIRITUAL AGREEMENT DESCRIBED IN MATTHEW 18:19. Christ promised to answer the prayers of “two or more” of his followers. Those ministering to the possessed cannot impose their purposes on that person unless there is full consent of all those involved.
  • A CHILD HAS DIMINISHED CAPACITY FOR CONSENT, AND NO DELIVERANCE SHOULD BE ATTEMPTED WITHOUT THE COOPERATION AND PRAYERFUL PARTICIPATION OF THE PARENTS. I have performed exorcisms on children but only with the full consent of the parents and their active participation. Parents have biblically mandated authority over their children and can speak for them in an exorcism. But deliverance should not be attempted on a young child unless an adult family member cooperates. An exception would in the case of legal guardianship.

The devil seeks for ways to discredit the reality of demonic possession and the ministry of deliverance. If he can’t cause neglect or negation of this calling, he’ll attempt to defame it by evil exorcisms. But no matter how many ill-advised or even fatal evil exorcisms occur, it doesn’t deny the reality and need for boldly confronting the forces of hell by prayers of deliverance.

Jeffrey Epstein’s Demons

For several weeks, the press and public have been obsessed with information about billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Fascination only increased when, on August 10, 2019, he apparently killed himself in his jail cell, in the Metropolitan Correction Center located in New York City. That suicide unleashed a torrent of conspiratorial speculation about whether he was actually murdered. Rumors circulated that he was killed on behalf of high-profile people who would have been embarrassed by eventual court revelations concerning their seamy activities with Epstein. Volumes have been written about his professional life and perverted predilections. Little has been said about his private life except that he was born to a wealthy New York Jewish family and had one brother, who will apparently inherit Epstein’s nearly $600 million estate.
Students of our International School of Exorcism will immediately recognize that Epstein must have had a hidden backstory which led to his bizarre life. Having counseled hundreds of demonized and sexually dysfunctional individuals, I can speculate about his unknown life with some accuracy. Here are some things I surmise:
  • The fact that he never married, instead preferring sex with underage children, is a clear indication of arrested sexual development and abuse during his own childhood.
  • He was conceived illegitimately. This created a powerful curse, explained in our book “Curse Breaking” (order by clicking here). Without this curse being broken, he was born to a life with some measure of self-negation and destructive impulses.
  • His failure to emotionally bond in any permanent way with a relationally healthy individual is more evidence supporting the presumption that he himself was in some way abused.
  • Jeffrey Epstein had demons. The evidence? First, his prolific perversions, with psychopathic indifference to his victims. Second, his ability to beguile both victims and financially powerful partners in crimes, a Jezebelian trait. (To understand better how the spirit of Jezebel works get my book “Jezebel”).
Epstein’s financial success, his pride, and his sociopathic intellect enabled him for a while to elude paying the price for his crimes. Alas, his sin found him out (Numbers 32:23). His demons finally got what they wanted, ending his life ignominiously in a stranglehold of death by hanging. Like Judas, he betrayed those who trusted him and paid an eternal price of suffering in hell, far worse than the hell to which he subjected his young victims.

An encouraging word: THREE WORLDS

The Lord thundered from heaven (Psalm 18:13). What an unusual comment. At first glance we may not get all that it imports. If nothing else, it reminds us of where God is. There are three worlds: where God is, where we are, and where Satan dwells. Most people are aware of only the natural, material world of human existence. But eternity hinges on how we see the other worlds of good and evil. The choice we make to reject the devil’s world and embrace the heavenly realm of God by trusting in Christ leads to eternal life. To reject God’s world and dismiss the reality of Satan’s kingdom is really a choice to spend eternity in Hell, even if one doesn’t believe that it exists. The Lord thunders from heaven and the devil schemes from Hell to destroy souls.
