Did Death Demons Kill This Rock Star?

At 50 years of age, Taylor Hawkins was found dead in a Bogota, Columbia hotel room. The band was due to play in a rock festival Friday. The band in which he played was a descendant of the Seattle so-called grunge band Nirvana, headed by Kurt Cobain. Cobain struggled with drugs all his short career and eventually the demons he let in through his addiction convinced him to blow out his own brains with a shotgun blast. His friend and bandmate Dave Grohl, eventually regrouped the band, renaming it Foo Fighters after pilots who witnessed unidentified flying objects, UFOs, back in the 40s and 50s. Foo Fighters won 12 Grammys and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year. Grohl was the drummer, but took over as singer, leaving the drums to Taylor Hawkins. Grohl admits being a druggie in his younger days, included weed and hallucinogens. To his credit, he says he stopped drugs years ago. Not so with his drummer Hawkins. Hawkins left behind a beautiful wife, two kids, and an estimated net worth of $40 million! Here are the questions that have been circling in my mind since news of his death hit the press over the weekend.

#1 – Why would someone like Hawkins, at the top of his career and possessing fantastic wealth, risk certain death from drug addiction?

#2 – Why didn’t his rehab efforts work and get him off drugs?

#3 – Can being in an affiliated venture with someone evil who took their life create a soul tie with those who inherit some part of that legacy?

#4 – Did the suicide of Cobain pass on a spirit of Death that looked for another victim to destroy?

It’s impossible to know for certain the answers to these questions, but as an exorcist and deliverance minister with nearly five decades of experience confronting demons of Death operate, I can offer some thoughts. I’ll answer these questions above in numerical order.

#1 – The nature of having an addiction to drugs, especially hard drugs, is that the user adopts a lifestyle of lies. Mostly he lies to himself about what he’s doing and what it’s doing to him. I recently had a personal encounter with an addict who at great expense and time had come to see me. He admitted that, just before we started, he had gone to the bathroom and shot up drugs minutes before we prayed. Another drug user once said to me, “I smoked a joint just before meeting you, so I’d have one last time to enjoy what drugs do before I try to get rid of them.” Neither of these individuals had a successful deliverance. Their demons manifested, but there was no way to make them leave. The addict was in agreement with his demons, not God.

#2 – Rehab can be helpful, but if you have demons counseling and rehabilitation only reforms behavior. This can sometimes be helpful, but it won’t get rid of the evil spirits that are fed by the addiction.

#3 – Being in any soul-tie relationship with someone, even at arm’s length or only as part of a legacy, can be an open door for demons to attack. That is why everyone needs to cut off all spiritual ties to former friends, lovers, business associates, even spiritual mentors, if that person committed evil acts, including self-murder.

#4 – I can’t say for certain that Hawkins inherited a suicidal impulse just from being in a legacy band of Curt Cobain. But it is possible. I hear stranger stories every day of how demons connect the dots of a person’s life history to attack when least expected. Plus, we don’t know the personal history of Hawkins, his ancestors and early family life, to know what demons he may have picked up genealogically that then connected with the Cobain heritage. If you know of someone in your bloodline or personal affiliation who committed suicide, curse breaking prayers about this matter are crucial.

Please understand my motives in doing this blog. I’m not out to make a point of the tragedy of Taylor Hawkins, but rather use it as a teaching illustration to warn others who are caught up in drug addiction. If that is you or someone you love, get help now! Get deliverance! Get Christian rehab! Hold the addict accountable to godly spiritual mentors. If the addicted one is a friend of family member, get them to someone like me who knows how to cast out demons of death and addiction. A virtual encounter might save their life. Rock star or average individual, the spirit of Death is no respecter of persons. As Proverbs 27:20 says, “Hell and destruction are never full; so, the eyes of man are never satisfied.”

Demons are Dumb

Demons are dumb. That may sound like a strange thing to say because evil spirits seen to be clever, deceptive, and beguiling. They are, but they are also dumb. They remind me of those accounts of stupid criminals. Like the 19-year-old woman who committed a robbery, stole a car, and then posted her deed on YouTube. Dumb. Or the man who walked into a bank and handed a note to the clerk demanding money. The only problem was that he signed his name to the note and was easily caught later. Dumb. Then there was a man who was arrested for a petty crime, booked, and released. He stepped outside and stole an ambulance. When he arrived home, the police were waiting for him. Dumb.

Now let me list three dumb things that demons do. Here’s #1. You are the brightest angel in heaven. You are covered with precious stones and make music before the throne of God. You are an anointed angel on the mountain of God. But then, you do something dumb. You think that you, the created, are greater than the Creator, God, and you determine to one-up Him and take over. Ezekiel chapter 28 and Isaiah chapter 14 describe this scenario. The dumb one was the devil, and he took one-third of Heaven’s angels with him in this rebellion, according to Revelation 12:4. Dumb and dumber multiplied by billions of insurrectionist angels. Yes, demons are dumb.

Dumb demon thing #2. Once these demons, fallen angels, were cast to earth they became even dumber. They watched as Christ cast out demons and gave that authority to all who follow him, including the command of Luke 10: 19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” If you know that someone had the power to destroy you and send you to the fiery pit of hell, wouldn’t you avoid them any way possible? But as an exorcist I have learned that not all demons want to hide. You’ve seen them on my YouTube exorcism channel, lunging at me, screaming, thrashing about violently when all I do is look at them or hold up my cross. Why don’t they stay cool and keep quiet? They are proud, and pride makes one dumb. It’s proud people who cheat, steal, cut corners. Some, like Jeffrey Epstein, get by with it for years but eventually they make a dumb mistake and are caught. As many times as demons have seen me cast out their kind by the thousands, there is always one more demon who thinks he can best the man of God. But what’s really dumb is that they forget who they are fighting, Jesus inside me.

The #3 dumb thing that demons do is persist in evil when they know the outcome. James 2:19 tells us that demons believe in God and tremble. They know they are defeated. But they fight on. Revelation chapter 20:10 tells of the devil being cast into hell, the lake of fire, to be tormented for ever and ever. You’d think that would make a demon think twice about soldiering on with their mission of evil and seek some redemption, but no. No living person has cast out more demons than me, and I’ve never had a demon genuinely offer to repent of evil. Since their expulsion from Heaven, evil spirits are incapable of change. Their eternal state has been fixed. They have been dumbed down so that they march onward to eternal punishment without regret.

I recognize that demons have supernatural intelligence. Most are smarter than the smartest human, but they are not wise. They are dumb. They substitute spiritual intelligence, true wisdom, for wiliness, deception, and prevarication. Just because they are dumb doesn’t mean they can’t trick you. But know this, that you have something which dumb demons can never have, supernatural wisdom from God as promised in James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him” (NKJV). That promise in the Word can never be claimed by a dumb demon.

Celebrity Distractions & End Time Demons of Rev. 9

Some thoughts on the state of the world as we wake up to Daylight Savings Time. The world teeters on edge of WW III and yet the most popular news web sites are obsessed with Tom Brady’s return to football and the moral circus of Kim Kardashian, her lover Pete Davidson, and her not-yet-ex Kanye West.

This weekend a Russian rocket exploded 12 miles from the Polish border. President Xi of China and Vladimir Putin are forming an alliance against America. Meanwhile our cowardly government won’t give Ukraine the jets they need to fight back. Innocent civilians are dying in Ukraine, including 100 children have died in the war. Russians have killed pregnant woman, bombed hospitals, and even shot a bi-lateral amputee sitting a wheelchair. Our response is to take the yachts of oligarchs. I ask, what kind of moral equivalency is that?

In spite of the current war scenario, Tom Brady’s return to football is what most people are talking about. He quit to be a family man. Well, that noble idea lasted a month. His wife is a famous model and a Brazilian witch. Brady has publicly credited her witchcraft with helping him to win a Super Bowl. He is worth over a billion dollars in past salaries and endorsements doesn’t need the money. It is ego and pride drives his story to top of the list of most trending topics.

Meanwhile the Kanye West/Pete Davidson feud continues. (Pete is the latest sex partner of Kim Kardashian, still wife of Kanye West). Kanye invited him to go to church. Davidson sent back a photo of him naked in bed with Kardashian. Davidson brags about what a great mother Kardashian is to her 4 kids with West. And this is a woman who regularly appears barely clothed and recently did yet another nude photo shoot. And she’s a good mother?

We are one missile misfiring and landing in Poland, Latvia, Slovenia, or Lithuania. Then all bets are off, and NATO has no choice but to declare war on Russia. How close are we to the unleashing of the 4 demons of Revelation 9:15 before the trumpet sounds and the Lord returns? Read these words of revelation 9:13-16: The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the four horns of the golden altar that is before God. It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. The number of the mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand. I heard their number (NIV).

Euphrates was the cradle of human civilization. This means that we have a fundamental return to the original earthly powers of primal evil, having come full circle from the beginning to the end (prepared specifically for the hour, month, day, and year). These beings come to kill so they are obviously demons, fallen angels. This refers to an earthly army controlled by demons. They are as a plague of locusts, innumerable. The number is equal to 200 million. Who might be able in earthly terms to raise such an army? It’s obviously a combination of nations with military might. Russia, China, Iran, the “Stans” states under Russian control? In ages past these demon kingdoms of destruction were speculated to be the Parthians (Persians), Huns, Vikings, and Muslims and their empires. But this interpretation ignores the literal biblical intent that these were four actual fallen angel-demons at the end of time, using kingdoms/nations existing at the end of the ages.

Who are these demons? If Leviathan is the Best of Revelation 13 then he may not be one of the four. Other principality demons who destroy are Beelzebub, Mammon, Murder, Death, Moloch, Baal, Azazel, Behemoth, to name a few prominent ones. The four demons of Rev. 9:15 could be any combination of these. The fact that these four demons have been bound since some time after the fall, means they are primal demons, associated with very early kinds of evil active near the genesis of mankind

While our government dithers and Kyiv is bombed, Satan is preparing to unleash these forces of evil. Whether that happens in a month, a year, or 10, 20, or even more years, the devil is patient to establish his plan for the End Times. America must be ready, the Church must be ready, and you must be ready by surrendering your life to Christ and getting deliverance from your demons.

Top 5 Demons Attacking Your Mind

Recently I did a blog on the subject “The Top 5 Demons in Hell.” Go back and watch what I had to say about Lucifer, Leviathan, Jezebel, Lilith, and Mammon. Now I want to discuss the top five demons that affect your mind. They are Fear, Anger, Rejection, Depression, and Self-Hatred. The top five demons in hell are spirits with proper nouns for a name. Their designation is nominal, not descriptive. Not so with demons which torment the mind. Their names are their functions. The ways in which they are delegated relate to their assignment from Satan. The names of the top five demons in hell refers to who they are. The top five demons that affect your mind are called by what they do. They represent emotional strongholds. And we are told in 2 Corinthians 10:4, “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds’ (NKJV). The NIV changes “pulling down,” to “demolish.”

The top five demons in hell are acquired by behavior and evil actions. The demons that affect the mind are there because of internal, emotional responses. These conditions of fear, anger, rejection, depression, and self-hatred are open doors that an individual allows. That person may have inherited tendencies making them vulnerable to these evil spirits, but usually there is some internal feeling and reaction that allows a stronghold to be established.

#1 FEAR: Fear, we are told in 2 Timothy 1:7, is a spirit, not some indistinguishable element. It’s a demon, and what I call a “doorway demon.” Fear is a gatekeeper allowing other spirits to enter when the host gives in to unreasonable fear. Fright and flight are normal human responses to danger, but demonic fear is a non-rational dread of something to which an outsized significance is attached. Psalm 55:5 says, “Fearfulness and trembling have come upon me, and horror has overwhelmed me” (NKJV). In that state, you are open to demons of many kinds.

#2 ANGER: It is axiomatic that anger gives place to the devil. That is why we are told in Proverbs 16:32 (NKJV), “He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.” Anger can affect your cardiac health. It weakens your immune system. And it often makes worse what made you angry in the first place. Anger is an evil that leads to broken relationships, shattered goals, and even murder, as in the case of Cain. We call such acts “crimes of passion.” Anger that festers as a boil and isn’t confessed as sin leads to irrational actions and is a doorway to demons.

#3 REJECTION: Rejection is an emotion bemoaned in songs and sonnets. But as an unaddressed emotion it leads to anxiety, aggression, and poor judgment. Isaiah 53:3 tells us that Christ was “despised and rejected,” so He understands when we feel rejected. Just as there is a demon who calls himself fear, and one who goes by anger, there is an evil spirit known as Rejection. This demon causes a rejected person to feel negated. Often it is the person who rejects that has emotional illness and the one rejected who is the victim. The more you give in to the victimization of someone else’s unhealthy disavowal, the more you risk being taken over by the spirit of Rejection yourself.

#4 DEPRESSION: When you sense persistent sadness, that lack of zeal for life, especially things you used to enjoy, you are headed for clinical depression. This is more than experiencing the loss of a loved one, for example, or a medical condition, such as a thyroid disorder. Real depression is signaled by hopelessness, anger, loss of pleasure, and feelings of worthlessness. The Bible doesn’t use this exact word, but David did speak in Psalm 143:5-8 of his “spirit failing.” Scripture does refer to being “downcast,” “discouraged,” “troubled,” and “brokenhearted.” Often depression is anger turned inward, avenging the hurts others cause upon ourselves. For clinical depression you may need medication. For depression that has a spiritual root, you need deliverance.

#5 SELF-HATRED: We sometimes call self-hatred a sense of unworthiness or lack of self-esteem. For the Christian, the equation is simple. God loves us, Satan hates us, and wants us to hate ourselves. At times we are all disappointed with our actions and decisions but giving in to self-denigration denies the love of Christ at the cross. That opens the door to the demon of self-hatred. In the worse cases, such individuals may do self-harm like cutting or even attempt suicide. These thoughts are demonic and yielding to them may invite a demon to enter. David hated himself for what he did with Bathsheba, but he repented. Judas hated himself for betraying Christ but allowed the devil to enter him and killed himself.

Take a moment to examine yourself to see if any of these emotions, and the demons that feed on them, are part of your makeup. If so, take corrective action now with prayer, Christian counseling, fasting, Bible memory of the Lord’s promises, and intervention that may include casting out demons of Fear, Anger, Rejection, Depression, and Self-Hatred.
