Are the Trumps Ahab and Jezebel?

Last week, while delivering a eulogy, at the funeral of congressman Elijah Cummings, Hillary Clinton made one of the stupidest statements on political record. Instead of respecting the solemnity of the occasion, she chose to attack President Trump and his wife Melania by declaring that that the two were like the biblical Ahab and Jezebel. Furthermore, she equated Cummings with his namesake, the biblical Elijah because of his unrelenting attacks on President Trump and Supreme Court judge Brett Kavanaugh. As a staunch defender of abortion, Cummings was certainly no Elijah.
Here’s what made Hillary’s analogy so ludicrous. Ahab was an exceedingly wicked king, the worst in Israel’s history to that point, according to 1 Kings 16:30. He was a wimp. A weakling. He deferred to Jezebel’s idolatry and murderous lust. Any intelligent person would never equate the relationship between the President and the First Lady as remotely resembling that. Jezebel connived to kill the innocent man Naboth (1 Kings 21:14). Is Hillary calling Melania a murderer? The analogy is ridiculous and shows Hillary Clinton’s ignorance of Scripture. Read my book “Jezebel: Defeating Your #1 Spiritual Enemy.” It’s the definitive, published work on this subject and makes Clinton’s similitude seem ignorant and childish.
But worse yet, it masks who is the REAL Jezebel—Hillary Clinton. It was she who defended her husband’s infidelity by having oral sex in the oval office with an intern young enough to be his daughter. It was Hillary who mocked the many women (Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrik, Leslie MIllwee, Kathleen Willey) who accused Bill Clinton of indecent behavior and enabled her husband’s sexual predation. In my book “Jezebel” I explain in detail the five main characteristics of the Jezebel spirit: control, manipulation, murder, lust and false spirituality. To accuse Melania Trump, a devout Catholic Christian of being a Jezebel, is not just dumb, it’s slanderous. Tragically, this accusation was made as a crass political ploy in a house of worship during a funeral. The very malignancy of such an accusation shows who’s got the real Jezebel spirit. Whatever the trumps are, they are not Ahab and Jezebel. It makes one wonder if the REAL Ahab and Jezebel are Bill and Hillary.

An encouraging word: SIMPLE WISDOM

Christ proclaimed that we should come to Him with the faith of child, for “such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matt 19:14). Psalm 19:7 declares that the Law of the Lord makes “wise the simple.” Our world places great emphasis on education and erudition. Nothing wrong with that, but spiritual wisdom is not always the province of much learning. Sometimes, simple wisdom is the best — and most profound. We must never forget that the Lord has chosen the foolish things of the word to confound the wise. Get as much education as possible, but never forget this wisdom of simplicity.

My Faith Has Taken Off Like A Rocket!

Three months ago Everett was a new college graduate who had spent years exploring occult and New Age teachings. He was obsessed with astrology, Hinduism, Buddhism, Essene teachings, astral projection and Eastern meditation. In his search for answers to life’s meaning, he “stumbled” on our YouTube exorcism channel. Then he scheduled a Personal Spiritual Encounter. 
 
During that session I explained the demonic dangers of what he was involved with. Before his time was over, he had renounced all his occult exploration. Most important, he prayed a sinner’s prayer and gave his life to Jesus. I’ll never forget this intelligent, handsome, very articulate young man sobbing like a baby as he invited Christ into his heart.
 
He called this week to update me on his spiritual progress. He started out by saying, “My faith has taken off like a rocket! I’ve led several family members to the Lord, and five of my best friends have accepted Jesus. I’m taking your School of Exorcism and have enrolled online in a major Christian Seminary to study theology. My passion is seeing people saved and delivered.”
 
What an amazing miracle. Don’t ever forget that it’s your prayers, tithes, and offerings that made Everett’s changed life possible.

Jesus Junk

Jesus is being marketed as never before. Misogynist rap artists whose every other word is profane dangle from their necks huge, gold and diamond-studded crosses. Kim Kardashian regularly goes nude in photo shoots yet claims to be a Christian while her husband, Kanye West, has been holding weekly “church” concerts featuring gospel choirs. Cool, young mega pastors sport full-sleeve tattoos and barely a discernible square inch of flesh left untouched by ink. A group of so-called pastors recently publicized a gathering to bless an abortion clinic by singing, “Hallelujah, bless this room.” Many born-again pastors have become cavalier about Christians drinking alcohol. I personally heard a leading evangelical pastor (you’d likely know his name) brag to his congregation on Sunday morning about overcoming his tee-totaling hang-ups about booze. He joked about his drinking to a millennial audience which included many impressionable children. Can the Jesus junk all around us get any worse? Apparently so.
A new web site now markets “walk on water Jesus Shoes.” These blasphemous shoes were offered online and sold out in minutes at a price of $3,000 each. That price is now up to $4,000! The shoes are all-white Nike Air Max 97s. The shoes were purchased at retail price and after-market, privately re-designed. Part of the sole (or should that be “soul”) has been filled with “holy” water mixed with blue dye. The liquid is injected into the Nike brand’s Air-Style, air bubble. No word yet on how many people have nearly drowned while attempting to stroll across their favorite lake wearing Jesus Shoes.
With all the craziness of Jesus junk, maybe the idea of demonic possession isn’t so far out after all? Instead of attacking deliverance and exorcism as unnecessary, evangelical churches might better spend time cleansing the cultural temple of Christianity from all the Jesus Junk. Compared to Jesus Shoes, exorcism isn’t eccentric. It’s biblical, historical, practical, and effective at relieving spiritual torment. The craziness of contemporary, American Christianity probably won’t get better anytime soon. Why? The gutless timidity of Christian leaders to threaten their financial welfare by bucking what’s popular. As a child I remember hearing the old gospel song, “Take the whole world, just give me Jesus.” That’s what I want. Just Jesus. Jesus healing this sick. Jesus casting out demons. Jesus walking on water. Let’s get rid of the all the Jesus junk and show the world the power of Christ over the devil by casting out demons in His name. In the words of the apostle Paul 1 Corinthians 2:2, “For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”

An encouraging word: GOD’S LAW IS PERFECT

Skeptics abound who question the need of the Bible and Christian values. There is even a major debate about whether people need to believe in God to be moral. Psalm 19:7 says, “The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul.” Ethics and laws may establish boundaries on human behavior, but only the “Law of the Lord” is perfect. And it does more than restrict unwise actions. God’s Law alone converts the soul, making it possible for the mind of man to behave in a way that comes from true, heartfelt motives.

Financial Hard Times at the Worst Time!

October, the month of Halloween, is the best and worst of times for us! It’s the best time for ministry to needy people under demonic attack. This year, we face unusual demonic attacks, especially financially! 

I’ve watched the trend for many years. Leading up to Halloween, demonic attacks spike. People in spiritual crisis reach out more than ever. That’s true now.
BUT THIS YEAR, the attacks are unusually severe. I’ll not list all the details, but some things happening are simply “off the grid.” Extreme. 
Don’t assume our ministry is funded solely by the suggested donations of those who schedule Personal Spiritual Encounters. NOT SO! Our lifeblood is the tithes and offerings from friends like you. This month we desperately need large gifts of $1,000 or $500, even $100, or $50 — $25 would help a lot.
The Lord has given us a public platform to confront millions worldwide with the message of freedom in Christ. From the pages of “People” to the “New York Times,” from “Oprah” to “Anderson Cooper” we’ve never backed down! Our recent appearance on Dr. Phil was seen by millions more.
Our YouTube views are approaching 23 million! Never in Christian history have so many been aware of the hope in Jesus for spiritual liberation. No other outreach reaches so many with so little by bringing a no-compromise message of deliverance from the devil!

Evil Exorcism

I took the photos above in a major pharmacy store. It was displayed in the midst of other ghoulish, Halloween paraphernalia available for purchase. Though based on a true story, much of the film “The Exorcist” was fiction, an unrealistic portrayal of what really goes on in an exorcism. What I’m about to describe isn’t a movie, it really happened in Tucson, Arizona, not far from Phoenix, where I live. A man attempted to exorcise a demon from a six-year-old child, living on Pascua Yaqui Indian Reservation. He held the youngster under a faucet of hot, running water. The water poured in the throat of the child and caused serious burns over much of his body. By the time an ambulance was called and took the child to the hospital, he was dead. The man who performed this “exorcism” said he had to do it to save the child from the devil; but this wasn’t an exorcism to deliver the child from evil. It was an act of murder, instigated by the demons in the man who killed the youngster in the name of exorcism.
There are many reasons why the exorcism I just described was evil:
  • TRUE EXORCISM RESULTS FROM THE COMMAND ISSUED BY A CHRISTIAN EXERCISING THE AUTHORITY OF CHRIST. Many religions, such as Islam and Buddhism, have exorcism rituals. But the supposed expulsion of demons isn’t effective, or it appears to work, only to leave the victim in a worse condition later. The authority to trample Satan, given in Luke 10:19, is only available to true followers of Christ.
  • DEMONS ARE SUPERNATURAL BEINGS AND INFLICTING PAIN ON THE PHYSICAL BODY OF THE HOST HAS NO EFFECT ON THE DEMONS. Many pagan rituals of exorcism require self-flagellation or the inflicting of pain by the so-called exorcist. The only pain a demon feels is the torment from hearing the word of God or the revulsion toward scared objects, such as a cross, anointing oil, the Bible or holy water.
  • AN EXORCISM IS AN ACT OF CONSENT WHEREBY THE POSSESSED INDIVIDUAL REQUESTS THE EXORCISM. No legitimate exorcism can ever be performed on an unwilling person. The host of the demon must exert his or her will against the evil invader. An exorcism is a mutual process whereby the exorcist and the possessed individual completely agree on resisting evil in the name of Jesus.
  • TRUE DELIVERANCE COMBINES THE FAITH OF THE EXORCIST AND THE ONE BEING LIBERATED ACCORDING TO SPIRITUAL AGREEMENT DESCRIBED IN MATTHEW 18:19. Christ promised to answer the prayers of “two or more” of his followers. Those ministering to the possessed cannot impose their purposes on that person unless there is full consent of all those involved.
  • A CHILD HAS DIMINISHED CAPACITY FOR CONSENT, AND NO DELIVERANCE SHOULD BE ATTEMPTED WITHOUT THE COOPERATION AND PRAYERFUL PARTICIPATION OF THE PARENTS. I have performed exorcisms on children but only with the full consent of the parents and their active participation. Parents have biblically mandated authority over their children and can speak for them in an exorcism. But deliverance should not be attempted on a young child unless an adult family member cooperates. An exception would in the case of legal guardianship.

The devil seeks for ways to discredit the reality of demonic possession and the ministry of deliverance. If he can’t cause neglect or negation of this calling, he’ll attempt to defame it by evil exorcisms. But no matter how many ill-advised or even fatal evil exorcisms occur, it doesn’t deny the reality and need for boldly confronting the forces of hell by prayers of deliverance.

Let’s clear up a misunderstanding. Some assume that our ministry is funded solely by the suggested donations of those who schedule Personal Spiritual Encounter sessions. NOT SO! Like any ministry, our lifeblood is the tithes and offerings, tax-deductible gifts that many generously share. Sometimes it’s a desperately needed (LIKE NOW) gift of $1,000 or more. Sometimes its $500, or $100, or even $50. Many are only able to share $25 at one time, or less. But every gift is crucial to our survival.
We are humbled that the Lord has graciously given us an unprecedented public platform to confront millions worldwide with the message of freedom in Christ. From the pages of “People” magazine to the “New York Times,” from “Oprah” to “Anderson Cooper” we’ve never backed down from exposing the works of Satan! All that plus our recent appearance on Dr. Phil (read my current blog), which was seen by millions more.
Our YouTube views are approaching 23 million! Never in Christian history have so many been aware of the hope in Jesus for spiritual liberation.
No churches send us offerings. No congregation puts us on their missions budget. No evangelical philanthropy provides funding. We must go it alone, just you and us and the Lord.
Let’s be honest. I know of no other outreach that reaches so many with so little, especially bringing a tough message that most others completely avoid!
